American rock band Lakeshore, featuring ex-members of Emmure have released their first music video entitled "History" from their upcoming EP "47".
Not to be confused with the exit of all members of Emmure sans Frankie Palmeri in 2015, Lakeshore features the Lionetti brothers (Ben and Joe, who played rhythm guitar and drums, respectively) who were founding members of Emmure and left in 2009.
Unlike the breakdown-laden deathcore that characterised Emmure, the song "History" features a much more melodic rock sound.
Ben Lionetti writes about the song:
"The first single "History" is about Joe and I's history in music and really an ode to Emmure. It is a very personal song. We wanted to be very direct in what we said about the past as well as take a strong stand on what we intend for the future. We try to be positive and meaningful when we write music, yet have each and every listener be able to apply it to their own life, if it can help in anyway."
