The cold, clinical approach of late '90s, Norwegian black metal is definitely here.

The discrete post metal/noise/ambient elements, make things even more interesting.

I'm digging the tracks like Faces Turn Away and Broken more than the more straightforward black metal. It's nice to hear some welcomed experimentation.

Yeah, It would be nice if the mentioned experimentation was evenly spread throughout the album, yet the album is worth it as-is.
