At last, a doom metal album that's stoner rock free, and I like my stoner rock.
In terms of band name dropping, I would also add Cathedral.
Vocals are adequate but uneven overall, but the guitars slay (even if their themes are inherently repetitive), in general I feel there's genuine spark in this recording.
