This is pretty fucking promising. My friend went to the Pharos live show in September and told me it sounded like this, and I only sort of believed him. Honestly I like this better than an album of him rapping.

man when that fucking guitar kicks in.....GODDAMN
|
| |
Jesus what a year Donald is having. Good for him man, I'm so excited for this
|
| |

|
| |
Great song, looking forward to the new album.
|
| |
this is sweeeeeeeet
|
| |
fuck yeah. because the internet was ace
|
| |
Dude is killing it. Atlanta rules, this rules (and is hopefully indicative of a great album) and he's gonna play Lando Calrissian. How can one dude be so good at so many things?!
|
| |
Not to mention all the great stuff he's done in the past. I remember first seeing him in that college humor "Bro Rape" video back in like 2007. He's come a long way since then.
|
| |
I'm only familiar with Because the Internet, but this is the best thing I've ever heard from him. Love it so much
|
| |
Can't believe how good this is fuck
|
| |
damn this slays, bout time he found his mojo
|
| |
Where's Con
|
| |
I just sent out the Batsignal for Con. He'll be here shortly. He's busy braiding his hair.
|
| |
wayyy different than anything I've heard him do before. song slays, hope the rest of album is like this... it's like black sabbath went to church in the south
|
| |
Straight up one of the best songs this year. Album's gonna be something so special

|
| |
well shit, was not expecting this. great track.
|
| |
yeah it's amazing
|
| |
Whoa, I really dig this
|
| |
Boogieman, Zombies and Baby Boy are gonna be some pure 80s funk I'm feelin it
Terrified and Stand Tall will be some feelsy Urn-esque psychedelic shit
California and Have Some Love will be straight up pop bangers
The Day Me and Your Momma Met will be the only song with rapping
don't ask me why I'm writing this comment but when December 2nd rolls around you can call me Nostradamus
|
| |
Damn wasn't expecting this. Speaking of which, i need to catch up on atlanta.
|
| |
YEEEESSSSSSSS!
|
| |
Woah, this is really cool.
|
| |
Good shit
|
| |
"and he's gonna play Lando Calrissian."
Wait what
|
| |
Glover seriously has his hand in everything, a jack of all trades and a master of them all. Great actor, great writer, great artist, great comedian. Is there anything this man can't do?
|
| |
Be black
|
| |
Well shit, this is really fucking good
|
| |
this is incredible
|
| |
What a beautiful piece of work this is. I just hope everything else on the album is as good as this.
Hard to think he's progressed this much since Camp, specifically Heartbeat. He went from "are we dating? are we fucking? are we best friends? are we something?" to "oohhaaaYEEEEAAAAAAHHHH"
|
| |
what kid cudi couldn't accomplish on his last record
|
| |
Kid cudi wishes he were gambino
|
| |
Wanted to check this guy out for quite some time. Seems the time is right now, this is pretty good.
|
| |
“what kid cudi couldn't accomplish on his last record”
This is dumb. Stop it.
|
| |
This is great, Donald is killing 2016
|
| |
lol @JeetJeet
yeah this album might be AOTY
|
| |
"This is great, Donald is killing 2016"
Which Donald are we talking about here?
WHOOOOAAAAAAA
*ba-dum tsshhhh*
TOPICAL, POLITICAL HUMOR! HAVE A GOOD NIGHT, EVERYBODY!
|
| |
dope
|
| |
I don't listen to anything that sounds remotely close to this, but I find this oddly enjoyable. His singing is surprisingly good and he really sells the FEELING, definitely grabbed me.
Also, that fucking scream at 2:57 had me laughing my ass off. Probably not the intention but the delivery was just so absurd. And yet it worked.
|
| |
Wow. Can't wait to hear the rest of this. Definitely a step in the right direction after STN MTN/ Kauai...
|
| |
straight up one of the most talented people alive rn no bullshit
|
| |
Hype. I kind of hope he doesn't move away from rap/hip-hop, but if he does and it's all as good as this, I think I'll be fine.
|
| |
more like new Childish Gambino movie
|
| |
Talked to a friend yesterday who went to Gambino's live event back in September where he performed the whole new album. He said that this is the opening track that was played there, and looking at the tracklist it seems like the same album he heard. No rapping, just pure singing, and a ton of soul and funk influence throughout. He believes this new sound fits Gambino a lot better than hip-hop, and said this might end up as his AOTY if it's as good as it was live. I am hyped.

Song is a 6 minute eargasm
