Idk if it's Youtube compression but to me the production makes the music seem lifeless(even for DT). That being said there were a couple pretty neat ideas and it was way better than the first single.

It's like Mike doesn't have a soul and just plainly follows the music that's being played without adding anything new. Haven't been amazed by the new songs. Though I don't really have a problem with the drumming itself, more that everything as a whole feels pretty recycled and cheesy (the concept doesn't exactly help), which might have more to do with the songwriting and production than anything else.

Dream Theater sounds like Dream Theater

Actually probably the most interesting stuff I've heard Mangini do so far in a DT song. Still not Portnoy by any means, but he's not playing it as straight and stale as on the previous album.

As expected production is totally fcked up and as stated in several comments above it sucks the life out of the music. I enjoyed this song though, Petrucci's solo was pretty sweet.

yeah the sound quality issue was the video, I'm sure the song itself will sound better.

Yeah even at the highest quality Youtube plays audio in 128 kbps which removes every frequency 16khz+. Makes a pretty big difference when it comes to sound quality, like you eq'd every bit of the highs out.
