They went from completely unlistenable to really meh. I gotta give them credit for that tho
| |
wonder how their hair looks these days
| |
Still sounds like pure shit imo
| |
Band was always trash but I thought they broke-up?
| |
Everyone but the original vocalist either jumped ship or were thrown off it, can't remember which. And then he hired new people and absolutely nothing changed, quality-wise.
| |
I wanted this to be good but it's still just so bad. I always want a band to succeed but DtS can't seem to learn from their failures.
| |
Band has no clue what they want to be
| |
It's a step up but the production sucks. The low guitar riffs are too hollow due to the lack of any bass and it just turns into a non-tonal fuzz which feels really out of the mix. With a bit of multitracking and remixing to include the bass, they could fix it up a bit but I think it would benefit more from a re-recording with a completely different guitar tone and perhaps an octave or two higher because ridiculously low guitar tunings are a bit too 2010.
| |
well it looks like someone has been listening to a lot tesseract
| |
Nononononono, I thought they were done. I guess you just can't kill shite music.
| |
Should have been shorter and could have used more variation in tempo, but it's not bad.
| |
good song bad production
| |
awful lyrics
| |
ridin them trends
| |
Eric has definitely gotten better as a vocalist, but that's about all that's changed in terms of actual quality of the music. Production has definitely declined though.
| |
Yay more djent. Or nu-metal. Or whatever.
| |
Did Jarrod Alonge write this?
| |
"Did Jarrod Alonge write this?"
Wouldn't that be hilarious if he did?
Best/Worst Djent/Core ghost writer of 2015 goes to Jarrod Alonge.
| |
Jarrod Alonge released a sweet album don't even

Holy fuck that was well worth the wait. Those low growls are ridiculous and the djenty ass instrumental shit is just excellent. Fucking 10/10.

First single had a heavy muse vibe to it, this single is your average djent song.
| |
@voltaire lmao
| |
I take credit for having them reform. Eric wanted to originally cease Design The Skyline but I convinced him to keep the project going. Really good stuff.
| |
sounds legit
| |
Those djent-y chugs can't save this.
| |
The saddest thing about this band is that they have a cool name that would be better suited elsewhere.
| |
That's true. One of the better verb the noun names in genericore...
| |
verb the noun
edit: i missed the above comment and suck
| |
This is so funny to me because yet again they're like 5 years late on the cool trend, coming in 2019 design the skylines comeback comeback album full of nu-nu metal jams

Okay, so I commented before listening to it. But I stand by my earlier statement. Also:
Did Jarrod Alonge write this? [2]
Sounds a lot like his djent parody...
| |
botb: Nah, I just omitted him for accuracy.
