To be honest, it's a shit move by Manson. This is what happens to aging established musicians, they influence a new generation of music, whether it be in any genre. The Beatles lived with it, so has Radiohead. Manson basically has to deal with others who wants to site him as an influence on how they play music.
That aside, I don't really see how he is being ripped off.

If you read the whole interview you'll notice that Manson never mentions My Chemical Romance, he never hints he is talking about them or only about them. The journalist (from some London journal or something) is the one that mentions them and then the irresponsible journalist from NME makes a misleading article assuring he is talking about My Chemichal Romance and specifically the singer.

This is more like tabloid. I suggest that you take everything with a grain of salt or even better, ignore everything that you hear about this in the future.

I don't like either of those bands. That razorblade comment, regardless of who Manson meant it towards, is ridiculous.

MCR have a totally different style to Manson. Thhey dont sound like him, look like him, speak like him, its totally ridiculous.

Weird that I was listening to Kissing the Shadows as I just read that. Follow the Reaper is one of my favorite all time albums. I'm glad this topic turned towards artists that are actually talented.
