Connecticut "cinematic" metal outfit Earthside have released a brand new track, entitled 'Crater', which can be streamed below. The song features guest vocals by Soilwork frontman Björn "Speed" Strid and is taken from the band's upcoming debut LP, A Dream in Static, which is scheduled to be released independently on October 23.

The album, which was produced by David Castillo (Katatonia, Opeth, Bloodbath), will also feature appearances from Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust), Daniel Tompkins (Tesseract), Eric Zirlinger (Face the King), and the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra.

These guys surely have respectable connections and financial support.
Check out their previous music video to see for yourselves:

I really hope this album doesn't end up flying under Sputnik's radar but I have a bad feeling that it will.

also, Bjorn's vocals on this track are some of the best I've ever heard from him. he really nails it.

Not sure how I feel about this. There are some excellent moments here for sure, but that other pre-release track Mob Mentality lost me in a few places. I'll still give this a go when it's released.
