Shinedown debut new video

2015-06-29 by daysofthunder | 26 Comments
Platinum-selling rock act Shinedown have unleashed the music video to their latest single, 'Cut The Cord', which dropped early this morning.

It's unclear if the song is part of a new album or just a quick promotional single. If the former's true, it would be the band's first album since 2012's Amaryllis.

Shinedown is heading back out on tour on July 9 with a show in St. Petersburg, Florida kicking things off.

I really used to like this band. I thought they were one of the best new rock bands to come out years ago. This song is so fucking annoying and I absolutely hate the intro. Pisses me off. Amaryllis was a fucking soundtrack for grocery stores. Well, at least I can cross another band off my list so I won't have to waste anymore money on their albums.

it's not their worst song tbh. though it's certainly going to be stuck in my head for a good long while now.

Not the worst thing they've done. I actually enjoyed the song, it's the lyrics that continue to undermine their intensity.

Well no, not particularly. They weren't terrible on their first two albums.

I never got into their first two albums. Sound of Madness ftw

Their first 3 albums are all great in my book, Sound of Madness was by far the most memorable though. With that said, I think their debut is still their most emotional and their sophomore effort was their best instrumentally.

I liked Amaryllis, though there were some terrible moments.

Listened a few more times and I'm actually pretty happy with this. It's different enough from their norm, which is more experimentation than you ever get out of these mainstream rock types. Color me intrigued about the upcoming album.

I might like this. It needs to soak a bit in the waters of my mind. Grow on me, so to speak, haha.

Not feeling this too much, but Brent has a great voice as usual. His rocker look was much better, though.
