I mean, couldn't they haven't chosen Purgatory? A much less stereotypical pick that is actually an amazing story. EVERYONE has done Inferno.
That said, just give me an album where Russ is singing and not screaming the whole time and I'll be happy

Yeah it's pretty much a regression after PL's gorgeous artwork. Album won't be refreshing, but will probably have a few pretty cool bits sprinkled around.

Paradise Lost was also pretty much their best album, so solid move if it's musically in the same neighborhood. Didn't listen to Iconoclast, but I'll be excited for this.

Divine Wings is their best imo, but Paradise Lost is the only one that I've heard of anyone in my area having, and it has more ratings on Sput (And Metal Archives...) than any of their other albums, so I imagine it's probably their most "successful" in the sense that it might be their most known/heard.

Good to hear Russell singing again. Song feels like a combination of the Odyssey and PL, sounds generic but for some reason I like it. Hopefully there'll be more room for the keyboards to breathe on this album, it already seems like the bass has got more presence.

Don't like anything but Iconoclast from these guys. I listened to paradise lost but it was a bit wimpy for me tbh. I'll be excited if the new record picks up where Iconoclast left off.
