29 tracks, though... that can be a bit excessive.

Monitor was great. Overly-long, but still great. I mean, if you like weird lo-fi pseudo-punk or whatever this band is.
|
| |
^this band's not very weird / it's kinda really punky indie rock or really indie punk rock
i hope this ends up being a consistent listen despite the length but with this band you can be sure that you'll get at least a solid bunch of great tracks out of the 29.

I remember reading ages ago that Stickles was ready to write his "rock opera", and that it was going to be a stupidly huge undertaking and probably pretty cheesy and that he didn't give a shit what other people thought.
So yeah. This sounds right. It's going to be amazing, obviously.

Yo, that linked interview is not only very interesting and informative but also IMPORTANT TO READ BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING EXCERPTS:
We made the third one [Local Business], and I was like, Jesus Christ, this fucking sucks, I’m having an awful time, why the hell would I ever want to make another one? And now, making this last one, it was like, Jesus Christ, this is the fourth one. That’s how many fucking [ones] Velvet Underground got. And also, I’m getting old, what the fuck are we doing? I know every musician says this at some point, and it’s not just because I’m going to be 30 years old. This is how it is. This is a young person’s game; it’s not a sustainable lifestyle.
“The last note on the new record is F, and that’s the first note on the first album,” he said. “The last song on our new record is a cassette tape recording, and the first part on the first song on our first album is a recording made from the same cassette player. It’s like when a TV series doesn’t know if it’s going to get renewed for another season, so they say, ‘Let’s leave some doors open if we get another season, but if we don’t, let’s make sure this season finale is an effective series finale.’”

he says, not really understanding the content but appreciating the passion.

|
| |
started off skeptical about the new song but by the second half of it i was enthralled. so pumped for this.
|
| |
Song is good, but I'm skeptical about 29 tracks. Just as long as it's better than Local Business. That album was hella average.
|

john wilkes booth was the first true punk
|
| |
I only like it when allthewordsruntogether.
Jammin. I dig this. Sad that this seems like it might be the last album. I mean, if Swans and Bad Religion can riff till they're old, why not these guys.

i felt happy for the first time this year and then comes apetzar and brings my feet back on the ground
|

93 minutes ans 29 tracks? Sounds like a shambolic overwrought overblown mess.
In other words, exactly what Titus Andronicus do best.
This could go either way, but I can't fucking wait to hear it.
