I hope this album isn't as lousy as Lousy With Sylvianbriar.

i really dug lousy with sylvianbriar but this sounds much more like Paralytic Stalks which was awesome: more chaotic=better of montreal

last album was good the one before it was gooder tho

Paralytic Stalks is (in my opinion) their(his) best album. Lousy was cool for being more bare-bones than usual, but this feels a lot more -complete-. Really good, coherent content here. Also, sorry for writing such a lazy news article, I was late for class.

I agree Veldin; Stalks is so intense, like their White Album

Lousy sometimes sounded like demos to me, which was my biggest gripe - it just felt incomplete. Can everyone please go listen to the Gay Parade and/or Coquelicot Asleep in the Poppies

Paralytic Stalks is definitely my favorite Of Montreal release- so manic and experimental. This one is still pretty good, and it certainly has its moments, but the overall feel strikes me as bland at parts.

what's there to tell? it's incredibly boring to these ears. OM are really hit or miss, i find. some of their albums are pure gold and others are dogshit

i'll give it more time, as i often do, but i doubt my initial impressions will change much. i know what i want out of OM and this album just doesn't cut it for me. some good songs on it for sure though
