Just release it already......!!! (I've been waiting like 7 years for this album.)

Oh and this song is groovy as fuck.

MM will probably never have the raw, lo-fi sound again. They're more polished, but I don't think they've lost their authenticity. Kind of upsetting that most of their new stuff is the same upbeat Dashboard-esque tempo, if that makes sense.

It's the first song off the new album that finally sounds like a Modest Mouse song.

I love both the 00's polished sound and the 90's low-fi era and this is probably the best new song yet

To be honest I think it'll be unfairly hated on because it's a really cleverly put together song and it's a bit unfair to expect much more, but I just don't really dig it that much. Lampshades is the only song I really like so far

I cannot wait for this album, ive dug every track so far. As far as the old vs. new sound debate these new ones sound like old MM style with new MM production. I dont think they've ever made a bad album, that being said, Moon & Antarctica, lonesome, and long drive > anything

I think that if any other band released these tracks, I would appreciate them a lot more. But MM was at their best when they had a purely raw and aggressive sound. I understand that a group has to move forward and can't rehash album after album but I can't help but feel that this is ultimately a group well past its prime. I don't blame MM for changing their sound, and I'm sure plenty will love it. But personally this just doesn't do it for me.

lampshades had me thinking this might be we were dead pt 2 but these other 3 songs indicate a different beast and i am stoked

side note, ground walks with time in a box going into coyotes seems clumsy

This is one hell of a beast of a tune. Exceptionally psyched. This might turn out to be an excellent album.

A lot of people value rawness over all else and get annoyed when technique improves or production values rise, I notice. Personally, I dig this.

"never listened to Modest Mouse, but i don't think i liked this wow"

It's different than most stuff they've made. Probably not a good starting point.
