This is a bit of a misfortune, tbh.

I was actually considering attending their tour with TWA until this. Such a shame, I'd hope the band could recover from this but who knows...

well adding to these charges of domestic abuse, he recently divorced his wife (after having their first child!!!) so this band could tour with another band called close your eyes, but they kicked them off tour because they didn't like mikey's singing and his actions toward his now ex-wife.

Never heard a song by them but people in the scene say the singer as well as the whole band are giant assholes.

as someone personally dealing with something related to this right now, trying to protect a friend of mine, I can offer no sympathy.

I didn't want to bash him at first without knowing anything about the story, because let's face it... that's the internet in a nutshell. I waited for more details regarding the incident, sure enough Mikey released a statement that not only dismissed the notion that it was a female, but it was also an act of self-defense. So, if that's true he got a sh*tstorm of hate for no reason.

Of course, that's if what he says is true.

Yeah I'm curious if what he's saying is true... dude definitely has had a shit reputation for a while in any case.

Don't ask how I know this but I heard from a source close to the band that Mikey beat up a girl BEFORE this incident and Sumerian was about to drop them regardless.

Oh damn, yeah I hear from a lot of people that he's not cool. I figured it'd be better to know both sides of the story instead of assuming what happened. Sucks, I sorta like that LP.
