Apparently Sunn O))) approached him for an appearance on their album Monoliths & Dimensions, but Scott turned them down. Then he actually approached them later in 2013 with music he composed with the collaboration in mind.
The fact that Scott Walker seems to have a big part in the direction and they worked with his production buddy since Climate of Hunter (Pete Walsh) makes me very excited.
