Exotype Got Signed

2014-03-24 by TheGreatQ | 23 Comments
Florida deathcore/dubstep band Exotype has officially announced that they are signed to Rise Records. The band is currently in the studio writing their debut full length album, which will be produced by none other than Joey Sturgis. This album will be their second release, the first being an EP that was released in 2012 (and featured a different vocalist). The album does not have a set release date at this time, but will be out this summer.
A demo of one of their songs is available below, as is the band's announcement:

So it's like the awful rapping growls of Emmure, the electronics of Born of Osiris, and the cleans of Trivium? Pass.

No. Just another stupid ass comparison. Thank you.

Demo sounds mediocre. Was massively annoyed that there are stutter effects on the vocals during the chorus. Dumb idea. Definitely could use less wub wub

Forgot that stutter effects even existed. Haven't even heard of one since like 2012. Everything sounded adequate, besides the chorus. It sounds out of place.

The 'rapping' deathcore parts sounds like emmure, the autotuned cleans sounds like asking alexandra/attack attack any other generic metalcore band,

repetitive crap fest
