Nebelung announce LP pre-order 2014-01-28 by bnelso55 | 1 Comments | On Friday, Jan. 27, Nebelung, the pensive German masters of dark folk, posted pre-order options for their upcoming album Palingenesis on their bandcamp page. The six-track album is slated to release on February 18 this year and will be available as a digital download, three-panel digipack CD and double LP in limited black and clear editions.
More than two years in the making, Palingenesis defines a new era for Nebelung.
According to a press release, the album’s predecessors centered on singing the hymn of autumn and night by the means of simply structured melancholic folk songs. Palingenesis takes a different approach.
The press release describes the album as a deep and transforming listen, with tracks building up like Mantras, tucking the listener into a dense and detailed tapestry of subtly woven, intertwining melodies and drones, rich in detail and structure, and incorporating such a variety of acoustic instruments as both classical and steel stringed guitars, cello, accordion, indian harmonium, hammered dulcimer, glass harp, percussion and voice.
“Nachtgewalt,” the third track from the upcoming album, is currently streaming on the Nebelung Bandcamp page. All pre-orders include an immediate dowload of the track and access to the full album on the release date.

Excited for this. It should be really good. Their previous albums are excellent and if the new track they posted is any indication, this new direction should suit them well.
