Watch Moby's new music video 2013-09-03 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 9 Comments | Moby premiered his latest video for 'The Perfect Life', a collaboration with The Flaming Lips' frontman, Wayne Coyne. The track is the second official single released from his upcoming record, Innocents, due out on October 1.
Regarding the collaboration, Moby commented: "Wayne and I first met in 1995, when the Flaming Lips and I were both opening up for a Red Hot Chili Peppers’ European tour. We became friends, shared a dressing room and the same bad craft services, and watched the Chili Peppers from the side of the stage. I thought of Wayne for this song because the Flaming Lips have evolved in this very open, celebratory band when they play live, and that was the perfect vibe for what I was imagining for 'The Perfect Life.' I texted Wayne and said, 'Hey, I have a song-- want to sing on it?' Thirty seconds later, he texted me back: 'Yes, send it to me, it will be great."

Don't tell me what to do!
| | | This is perhaps one the most boring tracks he's ever released.
| | | Yeah, this is a pretty generic track, much like The Day. Still, I have high hopes for Innocents, because Destroyed was really cool.
| | | and moby you can get stomped by obie
| | | no thanks
| | | Yea this track is pretty weak, even by moby's recent standards
| | | I like his female vocal guests a bit more, he tends to stick more to his roots with them.
| | | Yep this is totally average. And yeah, tracks with chicks are usually amazing. Although I do like it when Moby himself gets all dark and vocoded and shit too.
| | | Moby's entire persona is based on mediocrity
