Deftones Post Alternate Video

2013-07-03 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 36 Comments
Deftones have released a new music video for their opening track of most recent album Koi No Yokan, 'Swerve City'. This second music video focuses more on the band performing the song and may be a direct reaction to the criticism of the first music video for the song, which featured little of the band themselves.

The new music video can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1ldLN75YBA

The previous version of the video, meanwhile, can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmMfzwB5d1s

Steph is just going through the motions on this...it's a pay day, and I can't say I'd be any different. I bet a Steph side project would slay.

Make another video like "Sextape". I actually got through that one.

That's all I wanted, Deftones. A non-artsy music video that doesn't have a shot of horses every time the lyrics say horses.

Damn, glad I didn't watch that video. I wouldn't want to see Sarah Jessica Parker over and over again.

Steph's Sol Invicto side project doesn't slay though. So mediocre for a project involving Deftones and SikTh members.

Not one of the greatest tracks from this album, but the video is decent.

Just checked it out, with hopes I'd really enjoy it and...no.

Weird to make two videos for one song, even if the first one was criticised a lot.

Don't particularly love either but at least the first was pretty.

A non-artsy music video that doesn't have a shot of horses every time the lyrics say horses.

The horse is in picture pretty much the entire fucking video so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Also if by non-artsy you mean boring then yeah I agree. I don't really see the point of music videos which just show the band playing the song, seems a bit pointless. I want a music video which interprets the song in some way, and advances it.

music videos almost always suck or ruin my interpretation of the song

Normally I don't care for them but sometimes they really fit and enhance the vibe of a song.

I agree with underflow. I'm easily entertained unless they're really bad and I don't mind when it's just the band rocking out or whatever as long as they look cool.
