I haven't listened to any of their other stuff so I can't compare it, but I love it.

It sounds more on the money as to what they're going for. I felt Roads... was a little disjointed in some areas.

Optimistic black metal. Or at least sounds like it.

Really good song

It's really damn cool if you can ignore the angry white dude screeching unintelligibly at you for 9 minutes.

It was good but I thought the riffs were a bit weird and didn't fit that well with the drums or vox

The vocals are always fantastic. And if they were just a heavy Mogwai cover band I'd still be jazzed.

I think the streaming quality takes away from the song a bit, but it still sounds fantastic. Cannot wait for the new record, and to hopefully see them live again soon. They put on a spectacular show with Rosetta and Russian Circles last I saw them.

Vocals sound different this time around, a little more raw than previously. Which is cool, because they better represent his live sound.

i don't hate this, it's the happiest black metal song i've ever heard but it's not absolutely awful like roads was

i'm not so keen on the vocals though, they just sound screechy and forced, they don't variate at all

I can see what you mean about the vocals, Noctus, which is sad since this is closer to what he actually sounds like live. And holy man those drums are definitely better this time around.

what envy are trying to do with screamo/post-hardcore deafheaven are trying to do with black metal, i don't think it's an unfair comparison

i just don't think they're as good musicians as envy are

i mean this is an improvement, yeah, but they have a long way to go before they convince me
