After weeks of speculation among the internet, Of Machines has officially announced that they are back together and will be recording a new EP. The EP will be titled Honor The Season and will be funded by fan donations. The band also announced that donations will not be through Kickstarter but rather through paypal donations.

The donations via PayPal thing seems pretty shady, but whatever, I wouldn't mind some new songs from these guys. They
definitely had potential to do something better than what the did back in the day, but they broke up way too soon.

Dylan Anderson must not like Kickstarter anymore after his solo project failed horribly.

Donated. So stoked for this. As if Everything was Held in Place is one of my favorite post-hardcore albums. Dylan Anderson is such a fantastic vocalist.

This is my first news article. It passed lol sweet but ya, I'm pretty stoked myself. I like Woe, Is Me
(at least the Number[s] album, Genesi[s] was bad) but Of Machines was better. I agree though, Austin
should stay the fuck away.

They didn't mention Austin when they mentioned the guy's names in the return. As much as that would technically not make it an original line-up reunion, Austin would ruin this fucking EP.

"On behalf of all of us (Jon, Mark, Bennett, Mike, Dylan) we are all so deeply humbled and moved by the overly amazing response of our return for this extended play."

^ Exact quote from tumblr. So ya, hopefully there's hope Austin won't have shit to do with this.

Last post (I don't like making multiple posts lol). Hopefully this EP will be big and they'll decide to stay together and Rise will pick them up again. It'd be cool to see Of Machines back on the road.

I will not be donating to Of Machines.

Yeah, it has a lot to do with Austin's musical difference and being a control freak, wanting to take the band on a heavier direction while I think the rest of the members wanted to be more experimental at the time

heavier meaning generic as fuck metalcore with breakdowns.

Exactly
