Just about how I feel. If S/T were re-recorded with half decent vocals it would be tied with SC.

When people say "older stuff" I think S/T and Silent Circus, not the past 2 albums.

That being said, i'd rather listen to Hypersleep Dialogues than Colors any day.

can't really judge too much but i really don't like the whole "we're out in space" sound a lot of the softer parts seem to be going for.. and some of those vocal effects are kinda lame

People who are saying "this sounds just like old BTBAM" are evidently not listening closely enough. Just as Hypersleep Dialogues was, this album is going to be another crucial step in the evolution of this band's music. Ever since TGM, their ideas have been becoming more and more coherent, memorable, and well-polished, and this album is going to be no exception. I could tell just by listening to Telos that this album was going to be BTBAM's most ambitious AND most accomplished effort to date. These samples, to my ears, only reinforce my predictions. This will be the best thing that they have ever done.
This and the new Coheed album being released on the same day makes me one happy camper.

First two song samples reminded me of DT's Scenes From A Memory. The rest was also really promising. I think this has a good chance of being their best output to date.
