WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?
| |
Eppard*
| |
Not surprised. I'm pretty alright with this.
| |
finally some good news for this band
| |
Fun drummer, especially on tracks like Time Consumer and the Willing Wells.
| |
Sweet. He may not be as technical as Pennie, but the guy knew how to groove, they're right about that.
Interested to see how the next record sounds, still gonna be weird without Mic Todd
| |
Eppart
| |
Oh shit, I almost thought this was the guy from 3
| |
Fuck yes.
| |
he's been eppart from them for way too long NEVER SHOULDA LEFT I'M SO GODDAMN HAPPY RIGHT NOW
| |

TBH, as stoked I am for Josh to return, I'm perhaps even more stoked that the guys who produced their first three records are back to produce this new one. They just seem to get how Coheed should sound better than anyone else.
| |
^yeah i think thats the bigger deal as well
| |
So sick. Next Coheed album already a contender for rock album of the year
| |
sweet, good news
| |
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
| |
Great news, Eppard's style just fits so well with this band. Pennie was just being held back stylistically imo.
also, Quen's avatar > anything....ever.
| |
YAYYYYYYY
| |
This is cool for nostalgia's sake.
| |
omgidon'tcare
| |
best replacement they could have gotten
| |
this is fantastic news
| |
So what's Chris Pennie doing now? BTW this band blows.
| |
idk if this is awesome
could be taking back sunday 2011 all over again
| |
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
| |
Awesome news.
| |
Their last two albums sucked, who cares
| |
lolno
| |
Their last two albums sucked, who cares
actually: people who share this sentiment... /owned
| |
didn't really enjoy year of the black rainbow (one of the dumbest album names imo) but pearl of the stars live was pretty amazing.
| |
All of the songs were great live. I just think they need a new producer. (maybe self produce?)
| |
I enjoy each album they have done, can't wait for the new one
| |
I liked Coheed best with Eppard anyway.
| |
Oh shit, I almost thought this was the guy from 3
it's joey's brother and he used to play the drums in 3
SO THERE
| |
this is the best decision they could have ever made as a band. for the first time since 2005 I'm excited about this band's career.
| |
Fuck yeah!!!!!
| |
FUCK, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP WHEN I'M SO WOUND UP FROM THIS.
I wonder who's gonna be doing bass, though.
| |
Sick! freaking pumped. The first three albums were my favorite, this should be amazing
| |
Hopefully this will make up for three albums of lacklustre song writing
| |
"Hopefully this will make up for three albums of lacklustre song writing"
two albums
| |
"Hopefully this will make up for three albums of lacklustre song writing"
just the one album...YOTBR btw.
But seriously.....so much semen in my pants right now. The fabric can't sustain all the cream
| |
Yeah, this is awesome news.
| |
Vol II was weak as hell for the most part too.
But yeah this is great news. Pennie is technically better but Josh worked with them in their best days so it's good to see him back. Coheed's been down for a bit now but I'd love to see them come back with something epic, I still think they have a bit left in them if they can focus and bring it together right. Come on Claudio.
| |
Thought this was a joke for a second. Band was always better with Eppard in.
| |
They won't. If they match Vol I I'll be happy as hell though.
| |
And here I was looking for a reason to care about this band again
| |
Just last week I (jokingly) told my friend this would happen. So glad it did
| |
Now all they need is Michael to get out of jail
| |
mics never coming back lol not after the shit he pulled
| |
"mics never coming back lol not after the shit he pulled"
Kind of agree... Didn't expect Josh to join either, but I feel like Mic just went too damn far. But damn if they had their original 4 I'd be REALLY interested in what they would release. But I also feel like Mic's gotten into some shit to the point where even if it were the core 4 members it wouldn't be close to the same.
| |
Yeah but what the fuck do you know you're not in the band
| |
Actually I am fucker. I'm Travis.
| |
Not too sure how I feel about this. Hopefully he puts more effort into the new drum tracks than the ones on Vol. 1, he was practically sleepwalking through that entire album. I'll just hope we get something similar to In Keeping Secrets.
| |
great news. i didn't think YOTBR was that bad personally, but i think it's safe to say they are capable of much better. hopefully Eppard brings the rock
| |
I was personally offended by "Year Of The Black Rainbow." I don't give two shits who plays drums or produces, so long as the next LP sounds nothing like that last flaming heap of human shit. Come on, Claudio. I know you have at least one more good album in you, somewhere. Get back to the riffing.
| |
YES! yesyesyesyesyesYEEEES! ok im done, but seriously im realy hopeing for a return to second stage or keeping secrets style here.
| |
excitement level for next album X4
Who cares about Mic? Claudio will write the bass anyway, they just need a competent player.
| |
Good, now hopefully they turn this band back around and stop sucking. I want another In Keeping Secrets, damnit.
| |
yawn
| |
"two albums"
Okay so Vol 1 was okay. But it was a downward slope from there.
| |
This guy's not that good a drummer and holds the band back methinks...lame
| |
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt wroooooooong
| |
there's a difference between a good album and a good coheed album.
| |
This is cool, but am I the only one who thinks YOTBR was their best album?
| |
I hope so....
| |
fuck yeah, but what if they got taylor hawkins to join? that would be sick
| |
They were a better band when he was with them, but he's always kind of been a lazy drummer. Not shitty, just really boring. Could care less about his return, and actually kind of disappointed they didn't get someone new.
| |
Best news I've heard in awhile.
| |
"This is cool, but am I the only one who thinks YOTBR was their best album?"
No. YotBR and IKSoSE are my favorites.
| |
I don't prefer Chris over Josh or vice versa; they're both great in respective ways. Pennie is obviously more technical, and is a hell of a talented guy, but Josh worked better with the rest of the band and had more groove. Anyway, I love every album they've done so new one should be just as awesome.
| |
Mr. Bean
| |
guess i will never get to see guns of summer live
| |
Guns of Summer was a mess anyway, it just wasn't Coheed with Chris Pennie, as brilliant as he is (that drum solo on Neverender: The Final Cut was mind-blowing), the band are better back to their old roots.
| |
I'm really psyched for this. Josh seemed like a really charismatic guy, and he brought a nice simplicity to Coheed that kinda grounded them. Wonder what the next album will be like.
| |
Sick! I hope that they start going back to their old sound, like on SSTB. Their best album by far.
| |
How the fuck did I miss this...
| |
Also, I dunno if anyone has mentioned this but the same producer who produced their first 3 albums is producing the new one. Classic Coheed sound, so stoked!
