...hell yes
edit: it's good, wish it was a bit faster, but diggin that main riff
| |
disappointing, here's hoping the rest of the album is better
| |
Oh yes! Great song, guitar-tone is much better than on the last album too. These guys never really disappointed me.
| |
I actually like this a lot. It reminds me of older Soilwork.
| |
this was so much more interesting than most of the eternal return. given i loooove the tides and really like some of the other songs on that album this is just kind of refreshing.
| |
damn, will have to listen later. but if what redsky says is true then I'm definitely interested. the first 2-3 Soilwork albums were pretty damn good.
| |
goddammit this year is gonna rule
song was pretty awesome
| |
is this the right link lol i thought it said "NEW darkest hour song" in the title. song was pretty terrible if you haven't picked up on that
| |
Will listen when I'm out of work.
| |
New song is extremely good. Impressed indeed.
| |
Really liking this actually. That riff at the start of the song is great.
| |
That was tits, I'm stoked.
Quansu Dudes!!!
| |
Pretty dece. Production is heaps better than anything else they've ever done.
| |
Has a really good grove. Liking it so far. Hopefully will be better than there last. Their last CD had some good songs but it just was a little more flat then their others. The song more so in the beginning were bland.
| |
Heavy but melodic. Wow that is so unique. Brutally melodic metal infused with a catchiness unlike no other.
Good song though.
| |
Pretty cool. Don't think that this will top Deliver Us, though.
| |
That riff is so sweet
| |
I'm 30 seconds in and loving it.
This song is fucking great.
Holy shit.
You dun yurself gewd, Darkest Hour.
| |
I'm only listened to part of Deliver Us, so I don't know these guys too well, but I really dug that.
| |
Yess. Good song
| |
that was good. darkest hour is pretty damn consistent.
| |
Ye. Ill definitly buy this. I like there style in general
| |
Great song, but I'm not sure about the vocals in the chorus. I'm not a huge fan of that "yelling-in-a-melody" thing.
| |
Awesome
| |
Didn't like the chorus at all but other than that it wasn't bad.
| |
lovin that riff
| |
Beast of a riff, solid song. Definitely see the early Soilwork resemblance, but I'd rather take this.
| |
Pretty good. Reminds me a bit of A Paradox With Flies or at least that bit of melody.
| |
Really liked it. Although I really liked No God too and was a little disappointed by Eternal Return. It was a good album, but I was disappointed after the strength of No God and how awesome Deliver Us was.
Who's producing this one?
| |
Songs great guys
Edit HOLY FUCK
| |
this is damn good, better than anything off eternal return
and i believe one of the guitarist of soilwork produced this...
| |
Peter Wichers is at the helm, yeah
| |
shit sounds tight. undoing ruin was the album that got me into metal so i'll always love these guys
| |
love this
| |
hell yes! new album is gonna be sick
| |
song is fucking sick.
| |
I dig.
band is great.
| |
Song is good, album should be too. Always had a weakspot for these guys.
| |
this in 2011 too?
we're getting spoiled this year
| |
out-f'ing-standing. this is really great new direction for these guys. finally something fresh from a good band. i can't wait to hear more.
| |
Utterly divine.
| |
yo Demon(s)?
| |
Wonderful. I hope the rest of the album will be just as good.
| |
pretty good song. not really digging the yelling melody chorus but theres a good soilwork vibe. nothing has really grabbed me like undoing ruin. great band hope this new one is good.
| |
this is really terrible
| |
In the past I've liked when the vocalist did those yelled choruses but it doesn't work at all here. He's straining too much, sounds like he's damaged his voice.
Otherwise, song was pretty bad. It's cool that they tried going in a bit of a different direction but I don't really like this that much. Reminds me of some of the terrible 2005-2007 era metalcore releases
| |
Makes me want to mosh..... bro.
| |
Song was good.
Funny how Bon Jovi's album is ranked #1 on the "Top 100 Metal Albums" list.
| |
i rly liked this
| |
I liked it *shrug*
| |
song is sick
| |
I agree with Observer that main riff is god damn dirttttty.
| |
I'm just disappointed since I was hoping for something more similar to Undoing Ruin/Deliver Us but it doesn't look like that's what we're gonna get. Devin Townsend just brings out the best in bands.
| |
Fuck yesssss. The band that got me into metal has yet to disappoint me. I'm liking this sound much more than the one they had on the last album.
| |
Riffs are awesome. Chorus is pretty mingin though.
DH will seemingly never top Undoing Ruin.
| |
bad
| |
Sounds pretty good.
| |
YAY
| |
fuckin' badass
need lyrics
| |
the chorus was like a really bad version of convalescence.
| |
im addicted to this
| |
Song is sooo much better than anything off eternal return.
| |
That main riff is beast. I like every album this band puts out so I'm expecting this one to be great.
| |
yeahh
| |
Anyone else think this sounds like Reroute era In Flames
| |
This just sounds like Darkest Hour covering Darkest Hour. Unfortunately, I am not impressed. Hopefully the rest of the album will deliver.
| |
Looking forward to this almost as much as the new sylosis
| |
Looking forward to this as much as I look forward to Puberty
| |
A departure from their usual style, but still excellent.
| |
Here's the lyrics if anyone has been wanting them.
Says the feral instinctual side’ the thrill of the hunt’ says the prophet of all that’s been said and done ‘savor the kill’ unsettled severance un-done, a non living presence will never grow until you fall overblown, transcend to the beat, separate from the world of thought the world of belief, I don’t show what you already know, I’m plagued with relief, out in plain view for all to see, they’d never believe compelled to separate the needs, from all you’ve wanted the world to see, I’m no better than the animal in everybody, changing your mind, keeping your life in the wild have you ever noticed everyone who thinks they know the answer is wrong, a vision a saying a song, you are the fall, no master of your domain, there is no law, I’m no better than the animal in everybody, changing your mind, keeping your life in the wild go out into the cold dark night show your survival your progress your plight, I’m no better than, I’m no better than ,I’m no better than the animal
| |
Track is decent. Looking forward to the album and seeing if Lonestar will be able to build upon his performance on The Eternal Return.
