This sounds cool, might actually buy a book for once

sounds cool, might buy

sounds pretentious, might buy
|

sounds pretentious, not gonna buy
|
| |
sounds like a self-indulgent cash-in, might lul
|
| |
how is this a cash in palestbeaner? it's just part of a book series not like a reissue of the album or
anything. a
lot of highly respected albums have been written about and they are usually written by either a
musician or a highly touted critic. i have the one John Darnielle did about black sabbath. they're
cool books.
|
| |
fuck the coding in the edits. god dammit mx
|
| |
Probably due to the fact I think Kid A is overrated
but I gotta admit that Black Sabbath book does sound interesting
|
| |
that makes no sense. if this was being put out by radiohead themselves then it would be ok to call it out but since it's not and part of an ongoing book series you just end up sounding like a tool.
|
| |
I skimmed and thought it was being written by the management
I fully read and understand it's not
Big whoop wanna fight about it?
|
| |
yes. i choose pistols at dawn.
|
| |
Beware Red
I duel a mean gentleman's duel
|
| |
It sounded cool up until "bovine growth hormones" when my douche radar went off.
|
| |
i'm not afraid of you. i've seen enough westerns to know that the fat dude with a mustache always wins.
|
| |
I've seen Big Money Rustlas
I beg to differ
|
| |
ROFL
|
| |
fat dudes with painted on mustaches count too.
|
| |
Some of these are good, some are worthless.
|
| |
i have the 33 1/3 book for in the aeroplane over the sea. i read it here and there. pretty cool. also, i'm pretty sure i know the guy who wrote the one for bee thousand oddly enough
|
| |
i have the one John Darnielle did about black sabbath. least likely sabbath fan ever
also this looks good, want to get but won't because i don't have cash out the ass
|
| |
I love hearing over the top radiohead love.
|
| |
...huh.
|
| |
I should start getting these. A lot of the album they've written about I love
|
| |
John Darnielle's the fucking man. The Mountain Goats have a song about a Marduk t-shirt. He's a huge
metal fan.
|
| |
what a fucking badass
|
| |
what was that one thing where they layered kid a?
|
| |
I thought this had to do with The Naked Gun
a Kid A parody starring Leslie Neilsen as Thom Yorke
|
| |
^ That, I'd buy.
|
| |
Yay three cheers for the most overrated album of all time!
|
| |
i have the one John Darnielle did about black sabbath. they're
cool books.
Great book.
|
| |
least likely sabbath fan ever
if i remember right, his favorite band is Darkthrone so....
|
| |
what other albums have gotten this treatment? linky?

I have the one on Loveless. It's kinda interesting but overall isn't that great.
|
| |
yeah I like these books. I've read the "Highway 61 Revisited" and "If You're Feeling Sinister", and they're pretty good reads.
|
| |
@1 should have been kid a not jane doe

@1 should have been kid a not jane doe
|
| |
double post ftw
|
| |
i have yet to actually listen to a Radiohead song that isn't Creep. so i'm starting listening to Kid A right now.
|
| |
bad choice
OK Computer is your best bet tbh
|
| |
i knew rabbit would jizz all over this...
|
| |
eh, i'm already into the 3rd song so i'll just let this finish then listen to OK Computer. then go back and listen to Kid A. i've had their discography on my system for a while now but never got around to listening to it.
|
| |
The reason why I say that is that KA took the most listens of any Radiohead album to appreciate.
I appreciate it the most but it took a long time for it to become what it is to me now.
|
| |
i'm enjoying it a little so far. i can definitely see why this shouldn't be the first exposure though.
|
| |
The 33 1/3 series is not a release by the band itself. The series has covered all kinds of acts over the years.
