The Flaming Lips Live CD/DVD 2006-07-31 by Stormy Smiley Face | 6 Comments | Oklahoma's The Flaming Lips revealed their plan of releasing their first live album in the beggining of next year.
The show that the CD/DVD will take place from is their July 23 gig at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Ageles where their newest album, "At War With The Mystics" dominated the set. More will be recorded for the live album in a homecoming show at Oklahoma City (woot!) where it is said the band's older material will be showcased.
The band is known for their stage props and won't let the fans down:
Wayne Coyne: "Perhaps you've heard about our UFO we're trying to build for the stage? It's not quite ready yet. We're going to see if we can do it every show or just do it a few times a year."
