Job For A Cowboy album details

2009-05-21 by MattRTS | 51 Comments
Glendale, AZ band have released album artwork and further details on their sophomore album Ruination. The album will be released via Metal Blade Records on July 7, 2009 in North America.
Frontman John Davy says the album artwork was inspired by the lyrics, which are highly political-based.
"The ideas involved with the new album branch off from our last record, ‘Genesis' but are more politically based," states Davy. Topics addressed by the album's schema revolve around modern day worldwide dilemmas and controversial issues including "Propaganda in the main stream media and television, humanitarian rights of Northern Korea, the modern genocidal government of Nubia, the use of torture in American military tactics, overruling by world governments and Police states / Martial law".
Ruination was recorded at Audio Hammer Productions in Sanford, Fl and was produced by Jason Suecof.
The video for the first single off the album, Regurgitated Disinformation, will be shot June 6 in Philadelphia at the First Unitarian Church.
Job For A Cowboy is also touring this summer on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival with bands such Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, and Bullet For My Valentine.

I like it better when boring bands don't pretend to know a bunch about music and politics.

I used to think that that was Baphomet, but it's actually a Minotaur. Hope this album is just Death Metal and nothing more. It would suck for them to get "influenced" again. They're a good band now.

"humanitarian rights of Northern Korea"

Instant pointer that band is stupid as a donkeys ass. Somewhat intelligent people stop when they realize they really know fuck all about situations in the far east.

Individual songs from Genesis were really good. It just didn't stand as an album, the songs blended too much into each other. They all followed the exact same formula and structure.

I'm excited. Especially if they are really going more heavy metal now like Sylent said. I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to JFAC lately. It certainly would be an interesting cd to listen to.

...What a sad state the music industry is in. It is bad enough the pop-punk douchebags go on and on about this mess. Now mediocre metal wannabes rave about it too. What ever happened to writing music about experiences, it seams everyone has a degree in politics nowadays. I'm sure their views were developed through those so called corrupt media outlets anyways.

Politics and religion in Heavy metal music should now be represented by the image of a dead horse, being repeatedly beaten.

Noobs, can't judge an album you haven't heard. For all you know they all could've started eating acid and snorting coke resulting in a magical drug induced 5 rate deserving album. Nothing is for sure kids. Also, if your a mature musician you wouldn't dislike a band just because of their fanbase. Could someone please explain to me why these guys are on a pedistol in the emo whatever community? Doesn't sound like emo to me... More like heavy as f$!& pick your emo kid and destroy it music. There's obviously better bands but why do these dudes get so much hate?
