2026-02-12 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 6 Comments
Palestinian-Assyrian black metal group Melechesh have returned with their first new music since 2015's Enki. Signing with Reigning Phoenix Music, new single "Raptors of Anzu" is available to stream now.

The song comes from 3 track EP Sentinels of Shamash which will be released 10 April 2026. Track list:

1. The Seventh Verdict
2. In Shadows, In Light
3. Raptors Of Anzu

It is not yet known if this EP is a precursor to a full length album. Publicity photos present the group as a four-piece now, but it is not yet confirmed who, aside from sole constant member Ashmedi, is a part of the current lineup.

nice, glad someone did a better job of submitting this news article than me LOL

Track is pretty standard for Melechesh but the final leg really kicks it up a notch, cool to see them back

Apparently most of the band is chilling in Amsterdam now? Cool, should check if they play here. Cool riffs on this track for sure, need to check more from these guys
