Evanescence Announce Sanctuary

2026-04-10 by Trey STAFF | 20 Comments
Evanescence has announced the release of their upcoming sixth album Sanctuary, due on June 5. They have also released the first song from the album, "Who Will You Follow." The LP, which features tracks produced by Cervini/Fish as well as songs produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Korn, Foo Fighters, Rush) will be available as a digital album, standard CD, deluxe CD and limited-edition box set. A double vinyl of the album will be released on September 4.

Evanescence singer Amy Lee said: "This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it. It's overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn't know what to do with myself now! I've been completely obsessed. I'm dying for the fans to hear this."

Sanctuary track listing:

01. Beautiful Lie
02. Tell Me When You've Had Enough
03. Who Will You Follow
04. Rapture
05. Afterlife
06. Sanctuary
07. How Do I Heal
08. About Us
09. Calm Down
10. Self Destruct
11. Forever Without You
12. Wide Open Heart

Yep. Even cool in its own right. They'll never make another Fallen or The Open Door, but this is far more promising than their other recent songs.

^^^^^ Old enough to remember when the CD booklet had an error and instead of saying “these wounds they will not heal”, it said “consuming all I feel”.

Song is pretty average. Riffs are ok, production is miles better than the miserable sludge that was The Bitter Truth.

The song they produced for DMC was a lot better, imo.
