The return of Arcane Roots

2026-01-27 by Toondude | 17 Comments
British alternative metal band Arcane Roots have officially returned after nearly 8 years of silence. The band marked their return with a brand new single, entitled 'A Wave, Across The Sea', their newest material since 2018's Landslide EP.

The band's return also brings a new, 5-member lineup, bringing back original drummer Daryl Atkins, and keyboardist Bjarni Biering.

This is fantastic news. Criminally underrated band. One of the few artists actually doing something fresh with the genre. They have a sound that is their own.

Btw they've been teasing their return for over 3 months now. So I think it's been about time they give us an album or ep release date

still addicted to this song, man. Really great piece of dynamic songwriting. But yeah, as sizeofanocean said, I hope they promptly follow it up with some release date. I'm dying to hear more from them, and I doubt i'll see them play near me
