Damnnn they still got it, happy to hear they're continuing the sound from Versions/Tropic Riot. Weirdly, some of the riffage in this song reminds me of Voivod.

I'd have to check their older stuff because I don't vibe with this at all.

I wasn't sure at first but for me it improved massively with repeated listens, I hope the album version has a longer outro as I love the chugging at the end!

The 'haunt me always' cleans vocal part has an infectious quality too it, I found Tropic Rot somehow tiring to listen to, not so with this. I hope the rest of the album is at least this good.

I'm so stoked for the comeback but I am less than thrilled about the sharptone collab. Their merch is severely overpriced. 60 bucks for a long sleeve t-shirt. It's gotta be sharptone setting the prices.

@Arthropod check out The Opposite of December and You Come Before You. Both vastly different albums but also the best of the bands catalog in my opinion. They also did a three release EP set aptly titled (I,II, III) that I assume are b-sides from the tropic rot but are great tracks and I personally prefer them over the entirety of Tropic Rot

Song is a grower for sure but man hearing in 2026 we’re getting a new album from these guys gets me all tingly. Opposite Of December single handily is the reason I got into heavier music back in high school.

I liked Trembling Level quite a bit more and that's not even on the upcoming album. This was kinda meh. Still hype though

@jmh886 oh okay. I couldn't remember which of them came first...I just recall enjoying the EPs more than Versions and TTR. Not sure why but I still can't get into Versions even now. A few good tracks just a meh album overall

I like the cleans, but the harsh vocals suck ass.

Yeah Jeffrey sounds a bit tired sadly. He's also low in the mix.
Hyped nonetheless!

Can any of you guys give me a list of all the related bands / side projects? I'll do a full discography/discographies run before the new album. UPD: Ok, not really a branching out type of band upon closer examination. I guess I got them confused with Misery Signals

Like this song a lot! Sounds like classic PTW. I've been literally waiting since their last album, I can't put my hype into words. This band coming back is the healing I need in my life. And considering that Jeffrey isn't the youngest anymore, I still believe he gives his all. To me he sounds just as passionate as always :')

And since I see Tropic Rot receiving some dislikes (which is fair), I just want to add to the mix that it's my favourite followed by You Come Before You. Peak summer albums imo

This is Poison The Well doing what Awaken was for Breaking Benjamin. I mean that in the best way possible (regardless of your opinion on Breaking Benjamin). The only difference is that breaking Benjamin doesn't have as big of an hiatus as Poison the Well does, and to some comparing this to BB is blasphemy, but emotions aside. Absolutely stoked for this record. pre-ordered it on CD and vinyl
