AWOLNATION/Eric Stenman metal collab 2024-06-07 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 7 Comments | Producer and ex-Tinfed member, Eric Stenman created a new thrash metal oriented project with AWOLNATION front man Aaron Bruno, called The Barbarians of California. While there is no album announced yet, the duo released three singles so far, the most recent being "Far Out, Bro" with Snapcase's Daryl Taberski. Joining the line-up are AWOLNATION drummer and guitar player, Isaac Carpenter and Zach Irons, respectively.
The Barbarians of California came together after Stenman (Senses Fail, Crosses) "crafted a batch of throwback bangers combining impassioned angst with modern sensibilities," and reached out to Bruno, who had spent the mid-Nineties screaming in straight-edge hardcore group Insurgence well before he ever came near the pop charts.
