Element Eighty Return

2023-05-21 by bananatossing | 7 Comments
Alternative metal band Element Eighty announced their comeback album A.D. (After Death) after a 16 year absence from releasing music.

After receiving little support from Universal Records for their sophomore album and then releasing their third studio album The Bear under their own label Texas Cries in 2005, the band went into hiatus and it wasn't until 2021 when they published a re-recorded version of "Ego" from their debut album on streaming platforms. Soon enough, the band started playing shows and recording music.

On May 21st, 2023 they made the following statement in the Facebook page along with the title and artwork for the new record: "Element Eighty A.D. (After Death). The long awaited album is coming to you on 6/23!"

The band also released their latest single on May 19th, 2023:

Looks like these guys have been killing it for a bit. Nu-metal is back, baby.

Hell yeah, pizza! haha I'm very excited for this one. This is actually a formative band for me.

Me too. One of the few nu-metal bands I heard about in my earliest days.

Nice. These guys are pretty solid, they were always one of the better nu metal bands imo. Have some fond memories of hearing broken promises whilst playing need for speed back in the day.

Massively underrated for sure. I also discovered them through NFS haha

Most of my earliest rock/metal discoveries were thanks to NFS, the playlists they put together were always top-notch.
