New Thurnin album and single 2026-05-24 by Simon K. STAFF | 1 Comments | Dutch dark folk mastermind Jurre Timmer has dropped a brand-new song from his new Thurnin album, titled Termina. With the new single and announcement of the album, Thurnin posted on his Instagram page the following:
“Finally I am able to unveil the upcoming Thurnin release
I've been working on this release since before Utiseta, making this the longest I've worked on a Thurnin album
3 years+ in the making, I present to you ; Termina
As the name and art imply, I wrote this album with the impending sense of dread that this might be the last album I release for Thurnin
At least for a while, but I will find myself at peace if this would be the end of this path
Termina feels to me like the spiritual sequel to Menhir, with all the growth I've experienced as an artist since then
With a running time of well over an hour, in 10 tracks, this has been the biggest undertaking of my career,
At this point in time I am not fully sure about a precise release date, or in which formats it will be released. CD is possibly, Vinyl would be unlikely without community based backing like kickstarter or another platform.
Aiming for a late August/Early September release, with 1 or maybe 2 songs being dropped as singles between then and now
The artwork has once again been done by Jack Bailey ( @jackbaileyart ) and it's definitely my new favorite piece by him.
The excellent album logo has been done by @asmogrimae
