New Obsidious Song, Debut LP 2022-07-28 by Fernando Alves | 5 Comments | Newborn progressive tech metallers Obsidious shared another new track, 'Devotion', off their debut full-length Iconic, which is due on October 28th via Season of Mist. The band features Javi Perera and former Obscura members Rafael Trujillo, Linus Klausenitzer and Sebastian Lanser. The song's official play-through video can be seen below.
Band comments: "This song is about cults, basing the story on one of the most controversial cases of the late 1970s. In this song there are two distinct voices that reflect the character of each of the protagonists: the raspy voice of the cult leader and the melodic, desperate voice of the follower trying to flee the place."

Vocals are nice. Album art is painfully generic though. Wish bands put more thought into how their music is presented visually, cuz if I hadn’t heard this and just saw that on an album, I would probably just not listen to it
