sucks. but at least Sergio has been trying to take the frontmanning throne for years now, so i guess not much will change
| |
Band was never good, maybe this will change things up
| |
They aren't all that consistent but they have some great singles imo
| |
Sergio overshadowed Tom as the main singer since the third album, and that's basically what it makes me angry about the band. If you want to be the lead singer THEN WHY YOU NEED A SECOND SINGER YOU IDIOT.
| |
Had no idea this band was even still active
| |
OOOOSHHH
AAAAEEEEEAAAAEEEEAAAA
I'LL TELL YA I WANT CHA
| |
Sergio ain't a front man, Tom was more suitable for that role. Plus, his whiny vocals were enough on 2-3 songs per record.
| |
Had no idea this band was even still active [2]
| |
this band is the definition of mediocre modern uk dad rock
| |
millennial dad rock
| |
theyre like the kaiser chiefs, but only slightly better
| |
just imagine if a Kasabian dad married a Snow Patrol mum. lordy
| |
A lot of dad rock bands start with K
Kasabian
Killers
Kings of Leon
Kaiser Cheifs
Klaxons
Karnivool
The Kooks.
Kanye West
| |
"Had no idea this band was even still active"
i always mix them up w/ Keane, tbh. which are the ones who look like hobbits?
| |
Kid Rock, Kansas, Kelly Rowland, Keane, Keith Urban, Keith Richards
| |
I can’t quite believe this one. It’s hard and I’m having trouble processing it. Band was a massive part of my mid twenties and had a real magic to their tunes like whatsitcalled and the other one with the beats in it.
| |
Club Foot is one of the best rock songs of its decade
| |
you guys dont seem to know much of the bands music if youre calling them dad rock also how the hell is sergio the real frontman? Tom sang lead on all their best songs. this is like if Liam left oasis, but the rest of the band had no songwriting ability like Noel does. that analogy also fits because Tom had a unique voice like Liam did
| |
also comparing them to keane or kaiser chiefs is pretty unfair. at least this band experimented somewhat and had more edge than those bands
| |
^ oh almost certainly. i mix them up purely because i only really had a passing, late-night MTV2 knowledge of the 3 of them & not quite enough to strongly differentiate. i do know Kaiser Chiefs did "I Predict a Riot" & Keane "Is It Any Wonder" but i'm having trouble coming up w/ a Kasabian tune
| |
listen to Club Foot or ''Underdog'' you'll probably recognize it and also realize how different it is to those other bands especially keane lol keane are a piano rock band from what i know of them, kind of like The Fray.
| |
I thought Sergio was the front man
| |
keane were also better
don't know what klaxons are doing on that list either tbh
| |
Outside the first few singles from the first album they just turned into bland rock that cuntish LADS liked. Essentially Oasis but without personality and with very few good songs.
| |
yeah they did get blander over time but i think they did the poppier stuff well also, songs like Goodbye Kiss for example, really strong chorus there. and hard disagree about Keane being better, Keane literally only have singles and they're all sappy. Keane really suck now by the way idk if you heard their last record
| |
"A lot of dad rock bands start with K"
karsson Kresly
| |
lmao
| |
kennedy davenport
| |
If I meet anyone who is into Kasabian i have instant hate for them
fuck you dad
| |
he was beating up his ex-partner
| |
football dad rock and domestic abuse go together like yin n yang
| |
shit band. the domestic abuse revelations don't surprise me
| |
yeah, i also assume all bands i dislike beat women
| |
bunch of morons itt who never listened to the band and it seems to be more often the case for sput lately. extremely confident, but unfounded, misguided opinions.
| |
Club Foot still rules
| |
Eons please explain your opinion on the band, considering theyre absolute shite and ive caught them live
| |
unless this is about them being similar to Keane tbh I didnt scroll up
| |
Didn’t Tom Chaplin beat fuck out of an eight year old after a port and cheese meltdown? Child was in a coma for a month? I’m sure he did.
| |
These guys defo aren't shit - can't speak about their live performances though. Each of their albums has like 2/3 absolute bangers imo.
| |
just listened to Club Foot & if this wasn't used as the title or at least menu track of a FIFA game i'll eat my foot
| |
listening further this is way more Stone Roses/Ian Brown-y to me than Oasis, tho the dude definitely seems to prefer the Liam Gallagher haircut
| |
lol FIFA 13 I think
| |
'bunch of morons itt who never listened to the band and it seems to be more often the case for sput lately. extremely confident, but unfounded, misguided opinions.'
diddums
| |
the past coupla days i've had a "bit of a go" w/ Kasa's first album as well as the live record they put out shortly after and I gotta say, it's a fuckin' good time
| |
bad time to be getting into the band i guess but uh, better late than never lol?
| |
The first is best by far
| |
i agree its def influenced by The Stone Roses, not only in the beats and such but the attitude of the band, it just so happens that the Gallaghers were also big Stone Roses fans and took that vibe also
| |
First album is definitely the greatest of em, but I thought the second one was solid too.
| |
i know Oasis loved the Roses but when did they ever truly embrace the madchester/dance side of things at much as Kasabian's first album?
| |
