probably in the minority, but I think this & the previous single, Ludens, are the perfect culmination of the BMTH sound. Interesting electronic production, tastes of metalcore, and pop choruses. love it, looking forward to the next tune.
| |
I dont like Ludens, but somewhat agree with your take on this. I definitely can't say it's the perfect culmination, but I think they're going to get there and am glad they're sticking with this direction.
| |
the lyrics are atrocious, but i can see this growing on me like ludens did
| |
Can this shitty band please stop associating themselves with amazing video games
| |
latter day BMTH is so much better than Early BMTH - Later BMTH knows what it is and does it so well, early BMTH is vocals that sound like a deaf kidding getting beat up
| |
this is one of the worst songs i've heard this year
| |
catchy tho...
| |
Hated it on first listen. Now I like it.
Edit: I hate it again
| |
Honestly, a great direction for them to go into and am looking forward to seeing what kind of record/EP they produce.
| |
I LOVE this so much. They're doing a lot to keep metal fresh. I'm so sick of hearing people bash this band because it doesn't sound like generic deathcore anymore.
| |
The beginning of this is 100% an anime OP.
| |
why bring Mick Gordon to produce this. BMTH are already brickwalled enough
| |
Let's all remain calm, coz the end has arrived. But let the singer obv go and visit a barber first.
| |
This song is growing on me
| |
ets shet
| |
its a cool song, think they might be going in a good direction after amo and that atrocious "ep"
| |
Fucking amazing song!
| |
Every time I close my eyes, I crash a thousand Sykes and all the E Girls die
| |
Vein nice m/
| |
Can this shitty band please stop associating themselves with amazing video games [2]
Seriously, it's so fucking annoying.
| |
"I'm so sick of hearing people bash this band because it doesn't sound like generic deathcore anymore."
if you really think that's where the criticism comes from you're pretty dumb
this isn't the youtube comment section
| |
really love this Industrial Metal direction they are taking, seems like "Amo" Combined with "That's The Spirit" and "sepiturnal". Both this and Ludans are bangers, looking forward to BMTH8. Also one thing we can all expect when the album drops is a toxic soundoff page (it is a tradition with BMTH at this point)
| |
Good song overall, but these guys need to learn to flow better between the electronic parts and the rock/metal parts. Both this and Ludens feel kind of choppy because the transition between the two sounds is too abrupt. But I do like the direction their style is going.
| |
Yeah, on first listen it did sound too disjointed, but like Ludens, it grew on me pretty fast. The style changes may still be a bit too abrupt, but I like this electro-industrial rock direction. Heavier than most of Amo, but not quite like Sempiternal or TTS either.
| |
Good god the electronic/rap parts are hilariously bad
| |
Surprised at the love for this tbh
| |
Good song.
| |
I expected shit, and I got shit.
| |
The first verse is godawful but the rest of this is surprisingly palatable.
| |
definitely one of their more interesting tracks, I’m not over the moon with it but I can see this being a track I don’t get sick of hearing like most of their singles
| |
how is this legal
| |
When a band you hate names a song after one of your favorite video game franchises
| |
I'd rather hear their old crappy deathcore than whatever uninspired pop-rock that was
| |
I like the structure and the instrument parts, but putting so much focus on his voice when the lyrics and delivery are both so bland was not a smart idea.
| |
I expected shit, and I got shit. [2]

Hated it on first listen. Now I like it. [2]
| |
na it still sucks
| |
"this is one of the worst songs i've heard this year"
There's like a billion songs that are worse.
| |
I think you underestimate how much i hate this
| |
hahaha...your opinion is shit
| |
lovin the division here
| |
hope i dont sneeze i dont aaaaaachu
| |
It's OK I guess but I'll wait until I hear the aggressive stuff they said they're working on.
| |
This is dope. BTMH have been keeping things extremely fresh
| |
I'm full of them yo
| |
listened to the first minute and two seconds and have to concur that it's the worst thing i've heard this year
even worse than that ashnikko feat grimes song
| |
Truly awful
| |
definitely something different/unique. i can't tell if i like it or hate it, especially because of the intro minute. what i will say is that the song really picks up, and even has a nice lil breakdown near the end that doesn't feel forced. plus it has a hook that i can at least say wont be leaving my head anytime soon
| |
Lyrics are bad, spoken/rapped delivery is bad, and yet I kinda like this.
| |
that Ashnikko single is pretty trash yea pots. idk how she released like five singles in a row that were awesome and then her last few in a row have all been trash
| |
The beginning sounds like the OST composed by Olivier Deriviere for Alone in the Dark videogame from 2008
Like try this and you hear the similarities

[x2]
basically my thoughts exactly so had to quote you kind stranger
| |
The most enjoyable thing this band has put out since Sempiternal but yeah I agree the transitions between the electronic and metal sections do not flow very well at all.
| |
wow the sneezing part is absolute cringe i can't do it
| |
Did this nigga really just sneeze
| |
"hope i dont sneeze i dont aaaaaachu"
third listen and I still crack at that part, what the shit was he thinking
| |
sample from the beginning is by the Bulgarian State Television Female Choir and I might have popped off because I knew what it was lmao.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=So-p6X_5BrA
I was a huge fan of Amo but the song overall was just alright
| |
You an elite for that one
| |
A waste of Mick Gordon's talents.
Hardly hear any of his influence on this.
Band is, and always has been, ass.
| |
this is ACTUALLY not so bad. The chorus is good and the electronics are quite well put. But there is something about the whole stuff that seems weird
this will probably be hard on Oliver when they perform live.... he cant even perform the easier Amo songs decently
| |
This is soooooo bad
| |
MAPPY
| |
the animation from 0:10-0:20 reminds me of that horror film with sentient hair that grows through people's skin and fucks shit up
this is very bad
| |
Love that chorus, but yeah the sneezing part is pretty mediocre.
| |
"the animation from 0:10-0:20 reminds me of that horror film with sentient hair that grows through people's skin and fucks shit up"
Exte: Hair Extensions?
| |
I feel like these guys are trying to mimic early-2010s Enter Shikari at this point.
| |
Can this shitty band please stop associating themselves with amazing video games [3]
I'm offended this song shows up first now on YT when I search for Parasite Eve.
| |
No pun, no article
Delet
| |
"listened to the first minute and two seconds and have to concur that it's the worst thing i've heard this year"
yuo should listen to wolfmother's latest song "high on my own supply"
| |
Sounds like a treat, I'm on it
| |
Wasn't ever a fan of Wolfmother but holy hell is it even the same band anymore?
| |
"yuo should listen to wolfmother's latest song "high on my own supply"
What. The. Fuck?
| |
"Exte: Hair Extensions?"
yeah bby
| |
It's pretty insane how awful this band is
| |
Well now my question is who does Sputnik hate more, BMTH or Skillet?
| |
even in such a usually unappealing genre, the british manage to be way ahead of any similar bands from the us
this low key rules
| |
This band sucks less than Skillet
| |
Mh, song bores me. Still more interesting than Skillet
| |
I officially give up on this band
| |
I mean I guess it's 'different', I definitely didn't enjoy it though
| |
Yea this may be the best thing since they released sempiternal but the bars not that high with this lot. This just feels like enter shikari but less interesting and with less charisma and charm. Sykes is actually tolerable as a vocalist here even though he cant sing for shit. The sneeze thing was fucking stupid
| |
cool video, mediocre song, I think this band gets way too much heat just for being who they are tbh.
| |
Oh man I was hoping for much more with Mick Gordon on board. I still feel their Sempiternal / There is a Hell era really blended the electronic sound perfectly. Their new stuff just feels like it's missing something... not a bad song, just kinda forgettable.
| |
Every time i hear this song, it keeps getting better
| |
Yeah that's what parasites do
| |
lol
| |
Why dont you like it?
| |
Tbh I only heard the first 30 seconds
| |
hahahah
| |
hehehehe
| |
I'm looking forward to the next single "THPS2"
| |
this just felt like a really mediocre retread of a lot of ideas they've used in the last few albums
| |
this is embarrassingly bad, what the fuck were they thinking?
might be some of the worst lyrics i've heard in a long, long time
| |
Why?
| |
