Overall, this song is quite good. Simple, but really catchy. Seether seems to be getting better after poison the parish which is nice

Indifferent take on this.
It's a metaphore for the grandmother abusing the little red riding hood sexually when she was a kid. (The wolf is the sex-drive).
The video starts when Little Red Riding Hood has become old enough to be active sexually and to be stronger than her grand-mother.
The grand-mother is dying alone, forgotten, in disgusting condition as the monster that she is should.
Little red riding hood has become a vampire. She feeds on others instead of having a sex-life because she's still feels that she is her grand-mother's. Time is very often associated with sexuality, and a vampire is immortal but has no way to reproduce therefore no real sex-life.
So little red decides to confront her abuser. She goes and visits the old monster who attempts at raping her one last time (transforming into the wolf and attacking her), except that this time Little Red Riding Hood is the stronger one. She kills her grand-mother.
The problem is that she's alienated and thus, instead of finding solace and balance, she now identifies with her abuser and wait for her first victim to satisfy her sexual urges. She's learnt that sexually was something a predator inflicted to a prey, powerful beings satisfying themselves with powerless objectified victims, and she is now ready to become the predator.
Nice video, I really hope this is seriously blocked for under 16 yo.

I still only have one album of them, Karma & Effect, I actually still like that album, song structures are always generic but I like around 7 or 8 songs from it.

^ Karma and Effect is a classic. I’m really hoping for something that this goes to some weird places, the last couple albums have been very smart lyrically and musically

Hmmm interesting track. I like that they're stepping away more from the radio friendly sound. The lyrics in this one are above par for them.

I guess Seether wants to be minimalist as well now.

This is bizarre. What’s with all of these late-era hard rock / post grunge bands suddenly becoming Tool clones? Song is pretty damn good tbh.

^Tool put out an album last year that did pretty well. They're probably trying to cash in on the Tool-mania.
