he can keep it tbh

Bulb hahah
|
| |
Dang... :o
|
| |
well there's a thing destined to get a listen from collectively about 10 people
|
| |
wet dream for periphery fans and such a huge content dump that haters can't get their claws into it
nicely played tbh
|
| |
I'm definitely excited to check this out. Anyone who's been bitching for 10 years about Periphery being better without the vocals should be stoked for it.
|
| |
If you haven't checked out the Bulb demos in the past and you loved P:1 you'll like this more than you think.
|
| |
Considering that there's ten albums worth of songs I imagine there's gonna be a lot of demos that eventually turned into Periphery songs. But I hope there are more of his more chill ambient songs that didn't make it onto Periphery albums too.

this band and him in particular really seem like someone from this website or other forums decided to start a band like he isn't separate at all from the internet its weird a lot of musicians really are separate from all this but this guy seems like hed actually come here and comment. strange.
i dont really like the band tho

@Eons Bulb was an active user on this site once upon a time.
Hearing all these demos will be awesome. And yes, I’m a P1 fan.
|
| |
He wasn't an active user per se, but he had an account and used to chime in every once in a while when P1 and P2 were released. But that's pretty much how he built his brand. He was active on sevenstring.org and Dream Theater forums back in the day and befriended all the prog and djent kids who spread the gospel of Bulb and Periphery for him. He's the poster child for leveraging an online presence into relevance.

I wonder if any of these will include the Of Man Not of Machine stuff he did with Elliott from Good Tiger like ten years ago. Metal Gear is just too good of a song to only exist in low quality youtube rips.
At least Breeze will definitely be on here
|
| |
I liked the instrumental version of P1. Might be interesting if this is more stuff like that
|
| |
dream come true

https://gyazo.com/b4d739b7785a2c379490c4a5142ea3ba still a hilarious album art, but the new minimalist artworks are dope too
|
| |
this is gonna be so fuckin dooooooooope
|
| |
I assume this is the same material that's been available online for anyone to listen to for the past decade; 100+ Bulb songs were on some website like Soundcloud from Misha's personal account. A lot of it was pretty sweet I remember so this should be good. Basically lots of instrumental, early-era Periphery and AAL sounding stuff as one would expect.
|
| |
Probably gonna be the best stuff they've released since P1.
|
| |
the bulb demos were cool
|
| |
"But I hope there are more of his more chill ambient songs that didn't make it onto Periphery albums too."
You're going to be disappointed.
|
| |
@beyond how so? He’s releasing an electronic album in October which will probably have all that ambient stuff he’s done
|
| |
he can keep it tbh [2]

A small Q&A he just uploaded about the project. Awesome sample clips heard of new electronic/ambient stuff in the background.

8 albums released... 3 more to go!
