I don't know that much about them but I did catch them live once and it was alot of fun.
| |
great band
| |
I don't think I've ever listened to a record of theirs, but this band is awesome live. I don't know if I'd go see just them, but I'm glad I showed up early and checked them out cause they are tight as hell and super entertaining live.

| |
to be perfectly honest here
this thread is a great opportunity to know whose opinions on metal i can safely discard in the future
| |
everybody act cool, park sun gjoon is judging you.
| |
I was about to post my extraordinary opinion when I suddenly read what parksungjoon said. Now I feel somewhat insecure. I'll wait for the general feedback before saying anything.
| |
I only trust Cassie when it comes to thrash
| |
Definitely don't want to come across looking like some sort of poser. This is a real metal site, bro, do you even bleed liquid metal? probably not.
| |
Time is Up and Burn shred. This new song sounds better than anything on their last two albums at least
| |
get 'em boys!
| |
Dab
| |
i want to like this but it just sounds so mediocre like the rest of their discography
| |
this sounds more promising than the last album at least
| |
Conformicide was easily on my of my favorite records of 2017. That being said, I'm glad this one seems to have a rougher edge.
| |
can we get back Havik from mk though
| |
"Conformicide was easily on my of my favorite records of 2017"
now this i genuinely cannot understand.
| |
They turned the bass down and it sounds waaaaay less intricate

You're a straight up dummy if you don't like Time Is Up, that shit riffs HARD. The rest of their stuff is just slightly above average revival thrash stuff.
| |
"You're a straight up dummy if you don't like Time Is Up"
well i guess im a straight up dummy who can probably name 3x more 80s and 90s thrash bands than you buddy
| |
who are you
| |
what
| |
dude who are you talking to
| |
The movement all these guitarists do with their hair when they start playing a solo is a real cringe. Song's boring.
| |
Never been a big havok fan, song's alright I guess. But they're definitely not the "saviors of thrash" their fans like to portrait them as.
| |
time is up shreds though
| |
time is up is fun but disposable, songwriting always a bit suspect despite some good riffs and grooves
| |
These dudes knew how to bring the bass up front in the mix too, if I remember correctly
| |
Riffs like a thrash song. Solo's have always been decent with Havok. I've never been able to get into the singers lyrics or delivery, last album from memory had some cool moments musically but the lyrics persistently made me cringe.
| |
All hail parksungjoon! The true prophet of objectively good music. He is aware of far more crusty Thrash records than you and thus, is infallible. It isn't gatekeeping when it's clearly true.
| |
Never listened to Havok. This is tight, great bass as well.
