oh my god a replacement vocalist who's decent, holy shit guys!
| |
is this another northlane clone
| |
I'm at work and can't listen but I'm so fuckin hype
| |
dece
| |
those clean vocals are fuckin barf
| |
lol this sounds like farts
| |
I liked it more than the new Polaris song
| |
no artist can be great for long
| |
sweeee got into this band a couple months ago
| |
yeah tbh the cleans are too high pitched for my taste, but thats nit picky shit. the screams get me where i need to get.
i'll probably prefer ben's lyrics too, cuz the lyrics aint standing out too much to me from the new homie
| |
So it was pretty in the middle for me. On the one hand, his harsh vox are on point and fit perfectly, but then his cleans are so weird and don't really mesh that well. Instrumentation is solid as expected, but it kinda feels held back.
Best part of the song is 1:55 to 2:30 was by far the best part of the song, that shit slapped
Overall tho not worth the wait
| |
I like it quite a bit, but I'll wait for the full length because his work on Aviana is generally stronger.
| |
Well at least it's better than post-Augment Erra
| |
Why are his cleans so fucking terrible?
| |
Aviana had like three good songs
| |
This was SUPER underwhelming.
| |
The harsh vocals = Good/great
Cleans = Ass
The song overall sounds so derivative too. Its like they made a Stillworld track and sucked the soul out of it.
| |
i think the real threat here is this record being forgettable
| |
"Best part of the song is 1:55 to 2:30 was by far the best part of the song, that shit slapped"
lol that part felt like all the cool little parts in their past songs all condensed into a single riff. Wish the song was as good as that part
| |
Agreed completely, that part is like that old Stillworld feel coming back out, I wish the song had more of that sound
| |
Really liking the harsh vocals
| |
Yea his harshes are good, I'm just not feeling the cleans
| |
The cleans are awful. They don't fit at all
| |
Fuck off with those shitty ass cleans. FUCK
| |
Yeah this would've been better without the cleans. Seems sorta forced in.
| |
These cleans are doodoo agreed
| |
another lame, whiny tenor who just belts the whole song. if this is their new style, kinda wish they never came back.
| |
I hope the rest has a lot more screaming than the cleans
| |
just sounds like old Northlane/new Dayseeker but the production is noticeably worse
it is ok
| |
the cleans ruined this a bit but I actually thought the song was great other than that.
| |
Was waiting to see the official single art for the song and my god is it DULL, what happened to the sick looking vibrant art on Everchanger and Stillworld, that single art perfectly personifies this song is well, pretty directionless... I mean... it's smoke... it's a shit and fucking boring art (yeah album art is usually a factor in my enjoyment of a song, sue me)
| |
album art is part of the art man. i get it. i like covers too. visual art is part of the illustration of the sound for the public
| |
yea that art screams genericore all the way
| |
shit this is underwhelming. even if the cleans were taken away, there's something missing (i know i know, ben's missing)
| |
Man they should've continued with the cool album art instead of this
Listened to the song a few more times and honestly it's solid other than the cleans, which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't use them so much lol
| |
yeah the screams are dank, and they use some of the stillworld ambient clean shit on guitars too. better than most bands who replace a vocalist and try to come back.. but it woulda been cool to be BETTER than before with ben
| |
He just needs to stick to the cleans he did in the chorus of "Canvas" by Aviana, those sound good
| |
White people really out here getting yin yang hand tattoos
| |
Gotta move on from the koi fish bro
| |
New Windrunner song is better.
| |
He has solid range and a really emotive mid to high range scream, I really don't see a need for cleans at all. It's like they went down the metalcore checklist and said "well we HAVE to have cleans."
The song has grown on me and I'm not nearly as offput by the singing as I initially was, but it still totally derails the song's flow, it's just weird how poorly it fits into the track.
| |
Yea I'm feeling the same way, the cleans def aren't necessary. Ben didn't even use cleans that much so I hope they don't force cleans into every song
| |
Meh 😕 not super impressed
| |
Disappointed
| |
I prefer the old vocalist, but I'll probably still check this out.
| |
Yea Ben is much better, but this guy is solid minus the cleans

how did you guys go from being realistic to sucking the absolute cock of Invent Animate's Greyview album dry in the span of 3 years
