Fucking odd to say a death inspired songs. Can’t you say they were written in honor of or as a tribute?

not bad honestly. pretty generic by most measures, but I would have loved this stuff when I was 18-19.
sad hearing new songs with no kyle
|
| |
I miss Kyle but these are amazing
|
| |
great emotional songs. Love the Kyle sample. Dave sounds great. Can't wait to hear an album
|
| |
Sounds better listening to both songs at once
|
| |
Big improvement from this singer. Very impressed.

dave really is carrying the weight now lol, he has great performances on both of these tracks that if you told me he'd be able to pull off in 2015, i would've slapped you. also the kyle sample is well-placed and bittersweet. judging by these singles, i'm sure this new album will be a strong 6 to a light 7, and that's a pretty sizable improvement from their last couple of full lengths. consider my interest piqued.

Carry the Weight is actually pretty good
|
| |
This sounds like it's building on the sound/momentum from "Cold Like War". The situation that the band had sucks, is tough, and is very sad. What they were able to do here was very impressive.

Carry The Weight is so damn catchy
|
| |
I mean the death did inspire those songs, it doesn't mean that drive came from a positive place
|
| |
From the first note is wicked good.
Carry the weight... not so much
|
| |
Haven't listened to this band since their debut, but not bad songs here
|
| |
From the first note is the best song they have wrote in 8 years
