I can't listen yet because I am at work, but apparently there is a very good guitar solo in this song which I am very eager to hear.
|
| |
Last album was zzzzzzz so hopefully this is better.
|
| |
Hope this album is better than the first atrocity he put out. m/
|
| |
The solo was awesome. The rest is good, but wasn't that extra for me. But the video was brilliant!
(And damn, I was late again with the news!)
|
| |
It's pretty boring dunno
|
| |
Damn.
|
| |
Abbath has left a sweet legacy with Immortal so I'll always love him regardless.
|
| |
Oh yeah I love Abbath but his solo stuff is garbage compared to Immortal.
|
| |
It's just generic and boring...
|
| |
Yep.
|
| |
This will be another 3-3.5 at best to throw into the pile of 2019 BM. I'm sure 100 black metal albums have already come out this year that will shit on it
|
| |
It's just generic and boring... [2]
Immortal needs Abbath and Abbath needs Immortal- both bands are bleak without the other party. At least the new Immortal album was kinda decent.
|
| |
Nah the newest Immortal album slayz.
|
| |
It had its moments.
|
| |
The use of emojis already tell you its going to be shite.
|
| |
It doesn't tell you the song or album will be shite, but it does tell you that OP's opinion is worth shit-all.
|
| |
Track is a solid 3.3 if it's relative to what Abbath has the potential to create.
Nowhere near as good as 'Cor Maleficis - Heart of Evil' by Satan's Host.
|
| |
guess you guys cant read :/ or connect pyre with fire emoji
sad
|
| |
lol getting "roasted" by that title
|
| |
*New Abbath track is π©π©π©π©

got eeem
|
| |
plastic bm. pretty boring imo.
|
| |
jom loves this headline
|
| |
I actually think this is more interesting than anything off his first album. Drum production is a little plastic for my taste but the riffs and solo were solid
|
| |
Its like he saw the reviews for the last Immortal album and decided to cash in by doing harsher vox too. Hardly sounds like him at all.
|
| |
guitarist is gonna hurt himself on that rock he better be careful
|
| |
If there is a good BM video out there, I haven't seen it.
|
| |
@Egarran
The 'Mother North' music video by Satyricon is pretty kick ass.

man that was repetitious for a riff that wasn't that great
|
| |
Congratulations on 10000 comments! And on 68888 to be fair.
|
| |
Thanks man
|
| |
I don't know about those videos. I feel bm videos should make people go WTF SAVE ME JEBUS.
|
| |
Song kinda fucks, not gonna lie. Glad I gave it a listen
|
| |
nuclear blast artist puts out ''new'' track
edit: just realized I was talking out of my ass. This it's season of mist lol, sorry.
|
| |
Weird, I thought Season of Mist had just good shit. I guess they can take a big name to make some extra money
Track is fun but nothing special. Solo isn't particularly special either
|
| |
Yeah I also had the association between Season of Mist and respectability. I'm not too up there with my labels though so I could be wrong. Just checked their roster though, and -
1349, Abbath, AuΓ°n, Beyond Creation, Cannabis Corpse, Cynic, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Drudkh, Esoteric, Gorguts, Horrendous, Hooded Menace, Mayhem, Necrowretch, Ne Obliviscaris, Rotting Christ, Virvum, Vried. Can't say much about the other bands as I don't know them, but still.
Pretty fucking respectable, in fairness.

Season of Mist has released some incredible stuff, but regardless of that, they'd have to be out of their minds to pass up the opportunity to release a new Abbath record. The guy is a legend. Earache Records just released a hip hop/trap artist. Nuclear Blast and Century Media release garbage all the time. They are businesses
|
| |
Yep agreed hard.
|
| |
"Earache Records just released a hip hop/trap artist."
Well, isn't that nominative determinism in its purest form.
|
| |
lol, I had to look up your big words, and then I had a laugh
|
| |
Yeah nice. Got other examples of that?
I guess the lead guy from Death died irl, but that's probably not up to standards.

Les McBurney - Firefighter
Sara Blizzard β Weather Girl
Dr. Barth Toothman - ... you get the idea
|
| |
I was thinking music related, but thanks.
|
| |
Look Egarran, I can't read your mind
|
| |
I don't expect you too, but after having told you my actual needs, you should be able to respond more constructively to my post, and not focus on the one thing that allows you to not provide any examples of nominative determinism in music.
|
| |
I like this, vocals are cool. Anyone else think the mix is kinda weird? Not bad exactly, but a little front heavy, the rhythm section lacked weight to me. Killer solo too.
|
| |
Black metal always had production / mixing / mastering issues. I hear you, but it doesnβt bother me much ...
|
| |
I actually know a pretty cool video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZmt_Qmdy0w
