New Bad Religion tune

2018-10-20 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 23 Comments
Bad Religion have released 'The Profane Rights of Man', the second single off their upcoming 17th studio album. Unfortunately, the band offered no new updates as to when the LP will be out.

Regarding this delay, Greg Graffin mentioned a while ago: "True North was such a great album — and we owe it to our fans to take it seriously as a great album — that to do another one is going to take a lot more work.". More recently, Brett Gurewitz revealed: "We're writing for a new album, recording this fall or late summer. No release date announced yet, but we should have an album's worth of 'Fuck Trump' songs pretty soon. It's exactly what we need."

Listen to 'The Profane Rights of Man' below:

I wish Rise Against did shit like this again. Just raw and honest. Not feeling whatever their whole act anymore. It's clear that they feel they're getting older and just tired of their sound. I'm glad that this has never happened with Bad Religion.

The fact that they released "back to the known" just one year after "into the unknown" is the best thing ever, I don't know what you guys are talking about.
I saw these guys a couple of months back in my home town (no band ever comes here!), they nailed it.

@CugnoBrasso I doubt anyone was talking about "Into the Unknown". More about "The New America" or "No Substance"

Not really digging the mix on this. I like the song but the volume between the guitar and vocals is like waaaay off.

Bad Religion has sounded like Bad Religion for over 3 decades. I can pick out individual parts of this song and match them to other songs they've already done. The true magic of BR is that I love their sound, and have ever since I first heard "You" on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. I will pick this record up, I will probably love it, I'll give it a 4 or 4.5 even as its average hovers around 3.3, and I'll be excited that I finally get to hear my favorite band again (because I honestly thought 'True North' was it).

Also, while I refuse to give 'No Substance' any credit, 'The New America' is actually a little better than I remember it being.

Bad Religion is as repetitive as Breaking Benjamin, but a lot less catchy. Never understood why anyone likes these guys.

They could've released this song at any time between 1990 and now and it wouldn't raise an eye. I mean, if it ain't broke, I guess. I still prefer NOFX as my go-to skate punk band who will never change a thing about their sound to save their lives.
