Every fucking time I see this band name I think it's Story of the Year and get disappointed every time
Story of the year only wishes they were as good
Digging: Jimmie's Chicken Shack - Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope
I mean this band isn't anything special either lol
I’ve only heard Their album Page Avenue tbh but I’d put that maybe on par with TSSF’s weakest album imo
Whether they're anything special *now* could be debated, but their first two LPs both sit around a 4.0 avg. For a pop punk band that's crazy
Sort of a mellower direction for them, and I'm definitely enjoying the vocal melodies and performance on this more than anything on their last record.
Is Let It Go a reference to how the singer wants us to forget he kicks people in the face?
Digging: Cave In - Final Transmission
are they gonna dropkick someone for this album tour too?
If someone again does something worthy of being dropkicked, then yes hopefully he will not hesitate to do so.
Didn't the person who got dropkicked even say they deserved it?
I dig it
Good song but the production is kinda weird compared to Out Of It. Interesting that they’re both on the same record so I’m hoping for diversity
Digging: clipping. - There Existed an Addiction to Blood
eehhh. Production is weird
Digging: Animal Flag - LP
I like this band way more than I should.
Yeah idk how to feel about this. Production is overdone and l just felt bored by this song.
Digging: Dayseeker - Sleeptalk
Yeah I’m even iffy on the production in this
Can we retire "Let It Go" as a song title? It's been done to death
Yeah if Elsa doesn't sing it, it doesn't count
I've personally been wanting an ep or lp full of tracks like phantom, so i'm pretty much ok with this.
Guys remember, that chick deserved to be drop kicked.
If you stand on stage for 20 straight seconds taking selfies and snapchatting the crowd in the middle of the band's set, you deserve to get kicked off the stage. Tbh he shoulda batista bombed her like Hulk Hogan.
I'm really into this more mellow direction they seem to be going in with this single and the one prior

Ah, so 20 seconds is all it takes for you to be okay with physical violence. Lol it’s a tssf concert ffs. And the way he does it so nonchalantly and then just runs around like nothing lmao shit singer shit band
Liked this bands first two albums in high school but this just isn't good
Digging: Nostalgia Critic - The Wall
Dalton, please let that comment be really shitty satire.
I mean, at what point do you do something? What's the appropriate response? I agree he didn't make the best move but getting booted into a big crowd of people at a """punk""" show hardly counts as PHYSICAL VIOLENCEZZZ 0MG
holy crap TSSF finally evolved their style somewhat. it's not bad, not sure how I'd feel about a whole album of this. Love their debut, liked their next one, didn't care for the most recent one at all
I think there will be some surprises here. They've all supposedly been listening to lots of Beatles and Oasis, so I think this will be mellower and more mature, and seems to be revolved around themes of drug addiction and such. And "finally evolved"? you can't tell me USAD and S/T were the same style
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how hard the autotune was cranked. Like, more than usual
"you can't tell me USAD and S/T were the same style "
I can, s/t was just worse
comical levels of autotune
Digging: Weeping Sores - False Confession
What's up with those vocals.
Someone has been listening to some S/T era Blink and autotuned accordingly.
Parker didn't even kick her hard, she said so herself. It looks hard in the angle of the video but I've seen plenty of people get kicked off stage like that and came out fine.
oh okay as long as he didn't kick her hard then it's fine.
I saw Jordan Buckley boot some dude off stage and nothing came of it. Where was the outrage then?
Can’t believe anyone is still bitching about the dropkicking lmao
These kicks the bands do to get people off stage aren't hard at all. I see this shit all the time.
Yeah you guys really need to let it go
I'm sure TheWonderSoFar has no fanboy biases towards this band. Security exists for a reason to get people off the stage, kicking people off is just fucking lame. This isn't some hardcore band where you expect to get hurt at their show. They're pop-punk whose main demographic is preteen girls.
"I'm sure TheWonderSoFar has no fanboy biases towards this band"
"They're pop-punk whose main demographic is preteen girls."
I thought the demographic for preteen girls was camila cabello and all the other stuff smothering pop radio.
Maybe 10 years ago...
The dropkick thing was good coz it created the ''trying hard, real hard, every day not to lose my temper'' memes.
I like this band but that was shit.
Clearly you haven't been to warped tour in a while if you think pop-punk's main demographic isn't still preteen girls.
Don't get me wrong, I like a few of their albums, but seeing people try to discredit him being shitty instead of just saying "yeah that was super shitty but I still enjoy their music" is pretty fucking lame.
In terms of this actual song, holy fuck they need a better producer. That autotune is absolutely awful. Either they got the worst vocal takes of all time or that guy really needs to learn how Melodyne works.
"I thought the demographic for preteen girls was camila cabello and all the other stuff smothering pop radio.
Maybe 10 years ago..."
Have you never seen a Sleeping With Sirens crowd?
Album should be called Dropkick.
“Clearly you haven’t been to Warped Tour in a while if you think pop-punk’s main demographic isn’t still preteen girls.”
Come on dude you don’t need to be ignorant. That’s just straight up not true lmao. I’ve gone the last couple years honestly and I can tell you when I saw The Story So Far, Real Friends, Neck Deep, etc., the main people in the crowd were not preteen girls lmao. Warped in general the last couple years has had a pretty healthy crowd of people in their mid 20s-30s. At least at my location.
For a band like SWS, like Steak said, yeah preteen girl demographic is a lot more truthful
“Don't get me wrong, I like a few of their albums, but seeing people try to discredit him being shitty instead of just saying "yeah that was super shitty but I still enjoy their music" is pretty fucking lame.”
Nah just don’t think it makes a lot of sense to be upset about the incident. If the person got injured or, hell, even if she got her feelings hurt by the event, then sure, I’d get it. But the person who got kicked even said it didn’t hurt, she deserved it, and that she didn’t take any offense over it. If the person who got kicked saw it wasn’t a big deal, what’s the point in having your panties still in a bunch? People want to be upset about anything these days smh
Using the excuse of not expecting to get hurt at a TSSF concert... why? Pop punk does mosh pits etc. sometimes just as hard as metal shows. The pits when I saw Neck Deep were just as crazy as when I saw Whitechapel and The Black dahlia Murder. If this actually happened somewhere where you would never think you could get hurt, like a Taylor Swift concert, I’d get it. But that’s not the case here.
She is a fangirl who would probably even protect him if he murdered her parents, that's why her word isn't the sole relevant factor for making a judgement.
Okay, I get that. But what are other relevant factors? No injuries, no complaints from the afflicted party, no repeat instances in the future, no precedence set for the entire live concert community making that act seem okay, nothing came of it. Was he a dick for doing it? Yeah. But when all the above factors are considered, I don’t get how it’s even still talked about, is all. I get that it wasn’t cool, but I don’t get how anyone can make a fuss about it at this point.
comical levels of autotune
Liked this bands first two albums in high school but this just isn't good .
USAD and their self titled were pretty good, but this song is really bad. Like everyone else here said, the production sucks and the autotune is embarrassingly bad. Yikes
"But what are other relevant factors?"
That despite of several news sites covering the story and dozens of comments on their facebook site about it, they chose to completely ignore it, not make a single statement on it, not saying sorry or at least explaining what happened and why there is no reason to say sorry. Nope, just played the totally immature "I was a dick but decide to be a coward and ignore all my fans I make a living of who demand answers"-role. A single "Sry I acted spontaneously within the moment, luckily she didn't get hurt." would have been enough. Didn't come, lost all respect to this loser band whose music is mediocre at best anyway.
LoLifant, alright that’s fair I suppose. I honestly didn’t know they never even made a statement on it.
That's always bothered me too. Like yo, this sparked a huge outrage...literally just make a one-sentence statement to calm everybody down? I've never understood. Makes the whole band look bad.
My only thought is maybe they didn’t think it was worth the time? I personally don’t get why it started an outrage in the first place (maybe that’s just me and maybe they felt the same), but yeah they definitely should have gone on record at least apologizing or explaining the situation, agreed.
To be honest, though, I never heard or saw anything about that incident outside of Sputnik. Wasn’t on any of my social media feeds when it happen. Was it really that huge of a thing?? (Not trying to be a cuck, genuinely looking for info)
Probably the vocal section of their fans that kept screaming about how none of it mattered influenced the lack of announcements.
also that is not the proper usage of the word cuck
Dude nobody uses it properly lmao are you for real. I was just asking a question. You don’t need to nitpick one piece of it and reply to nothing else in the question
You took that harder than it was meant.
I'm not even the guy who was arguing with you, let alone the fact I wasn't arguing with you lol.
Yeah you’re right man my bad
Wonder- it actually was a big thing. I saw it all over social media, a lot of great memes were born from the situation
Alright fair enough then man! I never saw it on mine haha
Parker needs to drop kick a good portion of this comment section tbh
