Fucking hell. Nevermore was my jam throughout the high school years. His unique, emotionally charged vocals was what made that band stand out (aside from Loomis's riffing of course).

Lost one of metal's greatest and most varied voices. Seriously, I'll never forget the guy's impact on albums such as "Dreaming Neon Black", "Dead Heart..." and "This Godless Endeavour". All of Nevermore's stuff actually. Same goes for Sanctuary, it was clear the guy found a sense of urgency when that band reformed.
RIP man.

What a tragic ending for Nevermore: released the weak Obsidian Conspiracy record, Warrel passes away, and Jeff spends his time as a hired gun for freakin' Arch Enemy. No story book ending this time around....

Damn, didn't realize he was that old. This sucks. It took me like 5 years longer to get into Nevermore than it should have, primarily because I couldn't stand this guy's vocals. He grew on me a lot though, he was such a unique and powerful voice. RIP
