Swans release live album 2017-05-17 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 22 Comments | Swans released a new live album, called Deliquescence, which features the set list from the final tour (still underway) with the current line-up. Besides main compositions from The Glowing Man & 'Screen Shot' from To Be Kindthere are a couple of new songs that have been played during the past year: the 40+ minutes long, 'The Knot' and 'The Man Who Refused To Be Unhappy', as well as a discarded tune, 'Deliquescing'.
Regarding Deliquescence, frontman Michael Gira mentioned: "The Live2XCD Deliquescence is finally finished and out and is available now at younggodrecords.com and at live shows. This album documents (rather expertly, if I may say so) the final Swans tour for this configuration of the band. It includes a few new pieces that have not, and never will be, recorded elsewhere. They were written especially for this tour. It was recorded and mixed during the current tour and serves as an excellent archival document of this enterprise, now 7 years running (and soon to cease). It is, I believe, quite fetchingly packaged, and each copy is signed by me."

| | | This band consistently has fantastic live albums. This should be mind blowing even if I found Glowing Man underwhelming
| | | It's the final tour with this line-up. Even if he's funding a new album with this release, it can be something completely different.
