Well. I have the strange feeling that it'll be particularly good and a huge improvement over L'Enfant Sauvage which I thought was pretty average.

I thought L'Enfant Sauvage was pretty good but I haven't listened to their previous albums so maybe I'm not the best judge.

Hell yeah, strange to think it's been 4 whole years since L'ES

I still wonder what the Sea Shepherd EP sounded like. Let's hope Gojira doesn't lose this one.

I'd love to see these guys mix it up a bit and try something a little different. So many solid 4/5 metal albums but they're all so interchangeable.

^ Gojira are always pretty consistent, but I'd really love for them to go above and beyond what's expected of them.

They spent practically 2 years touring with Mastodon, I am wondering if any of that catchy song writing and prog influence will rub off on them.

^ I wouldn't mind that at all. Joe's pitched screaming has always been fantastic and with a little bit more chorus thrown in they could make a huge album.

L'Enfant Sauvage was a grower for me, I'll admit. But I love it now!
Pretty sure thats kind of the direction they've said they are going. So some peeps might be upset. I'm all for it!

Well, I actually dislike L'Enfant Sauvage for being to straight forward and simple or because it lacks a little bit of atmosphere maybe. From Mars to Sirius was a grower for me, not L'ES.
The thing is, who cares ? If they are going in that direction, that is making albums that take a little time to be appreciated, I'm all for it.
- I like "the gift of guilt" on l'ES, obviously.
