my take after one listen: sounds like they're trying to expand on some the elements they hinted at in Burning Skies off the last record (i.e. stomach lurching grooves that don't immediately hit you but are addictive once they sink in). I'm also hearing that dense yet spacey atmosphere from TDoA, but with more of the riffy, evil vibe from EiF.
if the rest of the record is at least as good as that song (and hopefully better), then this will be contending with Gorguts for dm aoty and maybe overall metal aoty.

this is pretty good.Sounds like they maybe heading in the direction of what they did on Everything Is Fire but I hope they incorporate some of the sounds they had on Destroys to diversify.

^ I agree, I get a strong EIF vibe but I'm sure they will be smart enough to include some DOA styles as well to keep a strong level of diversity. And it seems we may get some fresh feelings as well in the dynamic fields.
