Khaos Legions was such a bland melo dm record, and I'm usually a fan of this band.

Its funny how angela gossow acts like she is a bad as metal head. When most of the fans there are more than likey dreaming of her naked, rather than listening to her "revoultionary" or "political" messages. women are funny

You are so right Tyrael, I hate admitting it but they get boring after 1 album. I didnt even bother checking out the new album and I wont bother checking this out. Honestly Arch Enemy is nooby dm.

i would like her to incorporate some less harsh vocals and mix it up a bit

Used to be a big fan of this band, not so much now.

This is what arch enemy needs to improve on.

Drumming. Needs to be more brutal.
Vocals. Mix it up like ovrot said and maybe duel vox, who knows maybe one of the amott brothers can growl.
Riffs. FUCK MELO DETH LOL. Needs moar brutal riffs.

Sorry, but that's the men's problem for thinking with their dicks and objectifying women who try to break into metal.

That said, her political messages aren't very revolutionary and this band got boring a while ago. Still, I might see them for old time's sake (only because the friend who got me into them asked, haha), when they roll around here on tour.

Thats true. But dont agree with you about women being able to growl as well as males. Even with training, their vocals are not deep enough. I mean gossow is one of the strongest female growlers i have heard, and shes horrible. Which is a shame, because this band is great.

I enjoyed their new album a lot, despite the lack of creativity

Havent heard rest of the album but I do know I love this song. And Enemy Within will always be a staple in my metal playlists.

Hahahaha, then why the fuck are those men going to her concerts if they think she's not that great of a growler? If they're going more because they think she's hot, yeah, that is objectifying her.
Did I even say that I like her as a vocalist that much? No. I myself don't think women are as good at growling as men, just because our vocal ranges are different. So don't assume that I think she's awesome just because I'm a woman. I just don't appreciate your implication that it's her fault that she's not being taken seriously.

I thought her vocals were fine on Doomsday, Anthems & Tyrant. Idunno, their last two records (including the cover album) have just been gratingly difficult to get through. Don't know what exactly happened.

Pretty much, Angel, but I've definitely seen plenty of people put up with it for a lot of female-fronted metal bands, or any metal band with a "hot woman" in it. It's pretty demeaning to be less critical of someone based on her sex, but, then again, the metal scene isn't exactly known for having the most progressive views on women.

This band just got old and their formula for rebellious metal anthems (lol) doesn't work anymore.

Yeah I suppose Vesper, I'm listening to Anthems of Rebellion right now and I still feel that it rules and I don't mind her vocals. Whenever I hear a new song from these guys I just can't stand it, maybe her vocals are higher up in the mix now or something? I don't get it.

Frontwomen in more popular metal bands seem to almost always come off as a gimmick, which takes away from the slim few that actually have some talent. Don't expect me to be caught dead at a Kittie show just 'cause their members are relatively attractive lol.

Eh, I just feel like they're reusing so many themes and riffs with similar song structures (here comes the Michael Amott solo!!!1!) that it just got really tedious for me, so I can't sit through anything they're putting out anymore. I can still listen to their old stuff out of nostalgia for my *melodeath phase*, hahaha.

Yeah, don't even get me started on bands like In This Moment or Lacuna Coil...
